Ebay coddles buyers. A savvy buyer always has an out through ebay, if they carefully limit the reason for their return (or canceled transaction) to "I did not buy that, it was a mistake," or "it was different than I thought," etc. It's a cost of selling on ebay. Even if ebay seller wanted (and adopted) policy of "no returns on CGC books," such a policy is practically meaningless since the buyer will find a way to return the book. Sellers still state in ebay listings "no returns" but practically all the bidders seem to have figured out that it's an unenforceable policy if they play it right (paypal protection, with perhaps some lying, is the ebay buyer's province). Here it's basically the frontier with a few basic rules. I agree with everything you've said... It just doesn't address my question. Okay, I'll try a different vector: why do dogs lick their balls? Simple. Because they can.

Any significance to that "x" stamp? I see books from time to time with this.

Haha! Thanks Gino. I have a couple other really neat books I'm looking to acquire shortly. My wallet has been telling me to cool down, but my heart tells me to go for it. Too many rare and esoteric books coming up lately, and I want ALL of them. I caught the GA bug for sure.

My first Fox pick-up, a well loved Wonderworld Comics 9. Love the Flames "You want some of this?" Facial expression on the cover and the skull imagery on the plane. Lou Fine rocks.

Local estate sale. Started Friday and I was only able to get there this morning. Guy told me all the "good" stuff was gone however I am happy with these. 2 copies of forbidden Worlds 73 which I guess no one recognized as a key in the series.... Keep an eye in GSB sales forum as all of these will be going up. I love the high of finding stuff in the wild!

It was later disclosed/discovered that the artist never received the money. But at this point, it's been so long, I forget where that information was posted/came from. Whoa, the time to remediate is crazy. Glad it's finally being dealt with. Certainly not the first SS sketch opp that has gone sideways. If the artist never got the money where did it go for so long? How many people got the short end on this, and how much money total was involved?
