  1. If they are certified by CGC(or other...) I doubt you will have an issue. I purchased a GSX 1 listed as "high grade" a while back and was a bit unhappy when I received. The staples were very rusty and had migrated to the pages and back cover. I did not return as the rest of the book was nice and ultimately sold for a loss. I personally stay clear of raws from this seller ever since as that should have been disclosed IMO. With everything in life YMMV.
  2. Kevin bought a slab from me. Quick pay and good communication. Don't hesitate to do business with this gent!
  3. Was wondering why I had no lunch money this week... Until these 4 books showed up today.
  4. Well you can't ever defend a shill account, even if he thought he was just defending his "honor".
  5. Have sold a few books to Bill on the boards and eBay. Everything always went super smooth! Look forward to doing more business in the future!
  6. Not a board detective but would like more facts on this one. Through limited searching: CAK's last claim on a book that I could find on one of Igor's sales threads appears to be on 11/3. Igor failed to stipulate payment must be received in x days on that thread. Not sure where this 10/24 date from Igor is coming from but don't see anything from CAKs post history claiming on those dates, I could be missing something here. Although CAK should have paid him when he said I think Igor needs to actually wait until early Dec to nominate him to the PL but unsure. If someone has a long running thread or multiple threads wouldn't it be typical to wait until the buyer has finished claiming books to be invoiced, and the clock start ticking at that point? Not attacking/defending anyone one way or the other here and both certainly have some negative history on the boards but I think it might be premature to nominate him on the PL per the guidelines. FTR - I have sold a couple of slab to CAK and he paid within an acceptable time frame.
  7. Love this book. The Lightning story is inspired by a 1939 espionage scare against Hoover Dam. I didn't know that. Thanks for that link, super interesting read!
  8. That seller has been on "The List" since October 2013. Wasn't there a list/thread before this one that got *poofed*? October 2013. That link doesn't really explain anything, and I'd second the "why is rff7706 on the list?" question. If memory serves I've dealt with him a few times and never had an issue. We've had some fun discussions about folks on the public "lists". As a newbie I had done a quick copy paste to my blocked bidders list a while back but quickly learned there were some shenanigans as to who and why certain people were added. Unless something is egregious and public I now go by my own personal experiences and shy away from using the names that have been posted in bulk here on the boards.
  9. Nice haul so far, have fun sorting through the rest and post some pictures. Would be interested if any items turn up of higher value that would have saved the dude from being evicted. Sad circumstances, it amazes me where some peoples priorities are. Comics should have been the first thing to sell to keep a roof over his head.
  10. My second Fox pick-up. Someone made me pay dearly for this one.
  11. It's a little beat up but I'm very glad to have this book in a blue label.
  12. If that's a serious offer then yes Good. I will PM you my info..
  13. Gabe - Would you be willing to sell me the ASM 101 book for $40? You'll make a nice profit % wise and you can post that you made a profit and move on. I'll deduct it as a charitable write-off. This is a serious offer, what do you say? (I'll cover shipping of course)
  14. Clearly a marked up copy and not a "pink variant". I'm guessing the seller was being a little cute however not sure if the buyer actually realized this. http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Board=56&Number=9609230&Searchpage=1&Main=419842&Words=+uchiha101&topic=0&Search=true#Post9609230
  15. Just a lurker but saw a comment about your skin problems. Depending on the severity, if severe you can get a low dose of accutane that will work wonders. If not too bad tetracycline is also good. Both are prescriptions so you need to see a dermatologist. No reason to have some 50 sessions. FWIW I lived in Vancouver for a few years during my college days, had a student visa from US and was able to just walk into a clinic and get the prescription for tetracycline, I didn't pay a dime for that walk in just for the prescription. This was back in 1993. Don't put off taking care of your body, these things can spiral out of control if you don't keep on top of it.
