    Don't know about the other models, but I've been very happy with the HP ScanJet 8300 that I found on eBay a couple of years ago. It was "new old stock" still in the box, never opened or used. With VueScan software, it's been doing a great job on slabs, sometimes with a bit of glare, but not bad.

    In poring over The Art of Glamour more carefully, I noticed a THIRD example of surviving Matt Baker cover original art. Page 107 shows the lower portion of the cover art for Authentic Police Cases #35, with a notation that it was found in Baker's files.

    This is the only surviving Matt Baker cover OA that I am aware of. Has anyone else ever seen Baker cover OA?

    This is one "Baker" cover I have not yet purchased, and I may never. To me, it looks more like Chuck Miller, who drew eyebrows in such a way that characters appear to be constantly surprised. Miller did quite a bit of "Bakerish" (but substandard) art for St. John. Perhaps this is Baker inking Miller or vice versa.

    First of all, major congrats on your near-complete collection! There are many of us here who will celebrate for you when you get that last book. As for the 3.5...it's probably the tape. The highest grade in which tape is specifically mentioned in the OS grading guide is 3.0.
