I don't remember seeing pence books discussed like I have in the Silver Age forum.....

MF 73 question please : Either the Aquaman or the Green Arrow story at the start of the issue or the last story ? Love the book but without a cover appearance I'm just not as interested in purchasing one unless I could find a coverless copy and one of 2 of the stories were visable in the encapsulation ( just my preference ). Prefer Aquaman over Green Arrow as well.......( I have a lot of requests for this book ) According to what I was able to find on the net is appears Aquaman is the last story but even so I was wondering if there was an ad after the story, etc.

I believe that is correct, What do you think a Universal ,5 would be worth ? I know one sold on Ebay for 8500 right before this one but I would think that's a minimum a 10k book ----you could certainly argue legitimately asking for 12k at this point (maybe 15k?)

I really think that the Shazam Sat morning Live TV version has a huge carry over for this books desirability through the decades (along with the low availability)

AS 8 1.0 Restored (minimal) , slightly brittle, on the Bay sold tonight for 16k. I think that was a good deal especially as the resto appears reversible.

Replying to my own topic ? I found a way around this for my own psyche by picking up the one from CLINK missing the first wrap so I could see the last page of the WW story through the encapsulation. #comiccollectorsareweird

I just noticed a second . 5 Universal has been added to the census. Anyone have any info on how this book presents ?

I was ! Comic Mylars had it up forever. Cover was really nice though. There aren't a lot to choose from so I'm guessing it went to a good home of a pretty big Flash fan. Congrats to him or her. It's still a Flash Comics #1 !!!!

Where does MF 52 compare to AA16 & Flash 1 in terms of census numbers ? Is MF 52 still considered a "mega key " ?? Big fan of the book just it seems like the desire for that book has waned in the last year or two

Any insight into All American 16, Flash 1, and/or Pep 22 ?? What "mega key" has the lowest census number along with the lowest possibility of survival ??
