Can you say that louder for those in the back?

There were 4-5 people constantly hyping that book and DD1. Even still a few are pushing both pretty hard. I always wonder how long until their for sale ad's hit.

DD1 ads did hit by a couple of those guys shortly after the pump. It is what it is I suppose.

X Men 1 and DD 1 great and important books but not the level of AF 15 FF 1 & Hulk 1. Those 3 are the only true Marvel Tier 1 SA books Id throw JIM 83 in at #4

Here is my copy I just picked up recently.  It was 15K which wasn't the best deal and was about 2K more than I was hoping to spend for the condition, but I was having a horrible time trying to find a lower grade affordable copy that presented decently, so I just bit the bullet and bought it.

    Great colors !

    Oh it's you!

Big Robin fan here (as Gotham Kid likes to make fun of ). Without Robin  and the 1960's TV show I don't  think, Bats is as big as he is today.  Some great Robin stories over the years but he certainly doesn't need the Boy Wonder anymore

Really? A 9.6 AF 15 which there are four of over the one and only Batman 1 9.4? Plus over 2,200 Blue Label AF 15's and only 128 Batman's.  Totally respect your choice, I'm thinking its the 1st appearance thing that's your main reason. But to have the officially highest graded in the universe Batman 1........

Yep. Highest graded 1st appearance of the wall crawler trumps Bats 1 for me every time.

Yep. Nice blue cowl version too. Although, based on this 2016 scan, the FC has appeared to have slipped downward. :p

So their are 2 different color cowl versions ?  Kind of like the Blue's on a Hulk 1 ??

I've always thought that the CGC green Qualified label was normally given at the discretion of CGC, as opposed to being elected by the submitter. (shrug)

Especially in the case of HG books with just something like a missing coupon where a blue universal grade of CGC 0.5 would be virtually useless in terms of providing any useful information as to the actual condition of the underlying book.  I would definitely find a Qualified grade of 8.0 for a nicely presenting GA book with a missing coupon to allow me to make a much more informed bidding decision, as opposed to a CGC 0.5 grade for this so-called "Incomplete" book which is also the same grade that would be given to a totally beaten to death POS condition graded book that you could barely read.  hm

I see nothing wrong with the practice of allowing the customer to select the label between blue and green because in actuality it is both

The company was bought out like 4 years ago but some hedge fund guys or some group of business men, and Goldlin got 40M to sell a % to the buy guys according to what I have read. So there is some big $$ behind them. but they are really gonna have to start off impressive to make any kind of splash, especially with the 20% buyer  fee, if they stick to that number on the first auction and they also charge a seller fee....so this should play out very interestingly.

Seller fee on comics is 12.5 %. That's still higher than anyone with a solid track record in comics .  Not sure why anyone would want to go there.  I know someone in WV that approached them (among others)  with a mega key and G Auctions wouldn't move on the fee.......

There was recently a thread in the GA section where a boardie listed a complete coverless on eBay and got offers exceeding $100k.  So that book is up there in any forum.

He had offers up to 120k I believe.  light tan to cream PQ and slight pieces missing from pages 2-7 (slightly effects Bats story)  Great copy. Hope he gets his price.  Tec 27 and Action 1 are on a whole other playing field $ wise

Entry level, complete Tec 27's  (even coverless) would start at $100K  (at least) ........

You are not getting a complete unrestored very poor copy for under 200k

Complete coverless Tec 27's 115-125k (depending on eye appeal & PQ)

Coverless missing the centerfold probably max out at 100k (depending on eye appeal and PQ)

Provenance plays a part in their somewhere as well.  How much ?  I don't know.  maybe 10K minimum. (Kane copy, DC file copy, Robinson copy)
