Thank you all for your comments. Obviously, we all approach collecting in our own way. This is what's right for me. I will keep some items that are really meaningful to me, and I will always have a warm spot for Spidey. It's just hard to see so much money in my closet that can benefit my family and other priorities. Also, I have a real concern about leaving thousands of comics for my family to deal with should something happen to me. If money was no issue, I would keep going, but I think this will be best. I may change my mind and decide to get back in, and then I'll assess what' affordable and fun for me going forward. My kids still want to hit an occasional comic show, and I'm good with that!
Again, thank you for your comments, and best of luck with your collections! Definitely buy what you love, and enjoy your collection.
V/R, Mike
Man looks like you were one of the first members on here. been here longer than me. Hope you still stay in the CGC community and boards and at least maintain some connection to the hobby.
I and the long timers on here am sure understand the frustration .

A 3.0 just sold for 4k on ebay. looks like low grades continuing to move up.
Time to pull the trigger on a solid mid/high grade copy soon before this goes the way of FF1 Hulk 1 and Xmen 1. I remember buying a 3.0 FF 1 for under 4k about 6 years ago. too bad I sold it a year later

While it’s worth a lot for sure I doubt that offer is legit.
So for all The vhs vets what’s that 1st print goonies listed for almost a million on Comicconect really worth?
more better question what would the die hard vhs collectors pay for that if you had the cash? -

The 7.5 just finished on c-link for just over $19k.

Not surprised. This book is set to be the next marvel key to blow up in value.
still pissed at myself for not picking up an 8.0 for 14k last year
from everything I’m reading Dr Strange is the central character and common denominator in many future marvel projects

There is a $275k offer on Goonies on comiconnect too.
anybody know why the goonies first print seems to have such a high premium ask price compared to the other high end vhs’s like early Star Wars, temple, back to the future? -
Metropolis and ComicLink will be there

As much as I am not into collecting horror comics [pure marvel guy] I am the complete opposite with VHS.
