  1. Gang, I also have some terrific Baker covers (some very tough to find) and a Rangers #26 in the GA/SA/BA selling forum if anyone wants to take a peek. Link to my sales thread.
  2. Absolutely. They are all pictured in the auctions. And all books come with a Mylar and Fullback as well. Ah, ok. I didn't notice the labels the first time I looked. There was initially some trouble uploading them but they're all there now.
  3. I saw these earlier; thought they might be consignments. Placed many bids. Got outbid many times. I've had a few PMs about the books so it looks like there is decent interest in them. Good luck!

  5. Gang, I thought I had this post completed but it I can't find it. I'm posting here because a lot of GA collectors don't venture outside of this GA forum. Chips-Comics on eBay is running 90 no reserve auctions on eBay for me. about half of the books are GA books. Most of these are books from my personal collection. All books are very tightly graded and I don't think any books have been pressed. None have restoration. The Captain America Comics #1 CGC NG was sold a few weeks ago and returned because I did not realize the book was trimmed. The book is now CGC graded and being offered at no reserve auction as well. Please feel free to bid. If you have any questions or concerns feel free to contact either Chip or myself. I will personally stand behind all of these auctions and see them through until all is completed. There is literally a bit of everything in here from SOTI books, to Matt Baker GGA, to some GA Whiz and Actions to pre hero Atlas, SA and BA Marvels and some Modern books. There is even a Church book. Thanks for looking! Link to auctions Click on spoiler for complete list of early Atom Age and GA books being auctioned off.
  6. Pony tail or 'man bun'! Actually, that's not entirely true. They only cry when they need something (uncomfortable) or are hungry. Depending on how you nurse them and how you train them to sleep through the night, they can generally be sleeping right through after a few months. Once they are on solid foods they'll sleep like the dead for a full night. Its the bolded part that kills ya. The first couple months are crappy in terms of sleep for almost every baby. Shh.. I'm sitting in the delivery room waiting for my first to arrive. I've been mentally preparing for the lack of sleep ahead. Congratulations! You may discover just how little sleep you need to still do a full day's work! Yup. I actually loved every second of it. I loved tending to them all night. Those days will never return.

  8. Roosters are pretty tough little buggers so I expect you'll do OK should you meet up with a monkey. And what about the rat? I think the Monkey would pick up and have his way with you. Louise is year of the Rat as well.
  9. Roy, I commend you for sticking through and I think your and Chip's integrity will stay in tact. Hope you do awesome sales! I'd totally do business, but I can't afford to James Dude, you and me are so cut from the same cloth in so many ways. I just have a nicer board persona. @ KPR - We'll get links up on the chat forum when they're ready to go.
  10. I can't say enough about this. For me there was no option. I was a mechanic for over 2 decades and every day was an awesome work out. It helped me psychologically and physically and I slept like a baby at night. Plus there is something satisfying about knowing how things work and fixing things. Being a comic book dealer really hampered this for me and I needed to fit in sports and learning to replace my daily (both mentally and physically) workouts that I used to have at my job.
  11. For those of you who care (and I don't want this to be seen as me pimping my books but the reality is that I do need to sell some books to make a living), I have decided to auction my books through Chip. I could have easily forwarded them to Heritage or MyComicShop for consignment auctions but I think it's beneficial to both of us in several ways - the most obvious being that mutually it helps us both. The reason I am posting this here is that I realize that some may have concerns about bidding, but the reality is that me and another consignor of Chip's (a very well established, long time board member) have discussed this recently and we have absolutely no problem continuing to stay the course with Chip. If anyone has any reservations about bidding, rest assured that I will stand behind every sale personally from beginning to end and also personally attend to any concerns should they arise. I don't anticipate any but wanted to throw that out there so we are on the same page. If anyone else wants to know my some of my deeper reasoning feel free to contact me. I'd be happy to answer.
  12. Your post actually had me in tears. Welcome to the 1st day of the rest of your life. Whether we admit it or not, we all suffer from varying levels of mental illness. Bad tempers, aggression, passive aggression, vices, voices, wants, perceived needs, substance abuse. It really is just about managing ourselves and knowing our boundaries. It can be mild to the point where most people don't notice, or socially accepted (OCD collectors if you know what I mean ) or harmful to those around you, but we all have our own things to deal with. When kids walk too close to a ledge you warn them. Because adults are 'supposed to know' how close they are to the ledges in their lives, we often criticize them in a negative way - because they are 'supposed to know' when they are too close to life's edges but in reality there is a portion of us out there who don't realize how close we are to those ledges until it's almost too late. And that is where community comes in. Sometimes others see things we don't and listening to them is the difference. And believe me, I know it can be tough facing the truth, facing your self and making life changes but as someone really smart once said, a 1000 mile journey begins with the first step. It's how we make relationships work, it's how we make life work. Glad you're back online.
  13. They're building one of those down the street from us. I've only ever been in one like that. It was in Charlotte NC and we saw X-men 1st Class there during Heroes Con. It was pretty amazing. There is a restaurant and a bar and you can bring in dinner and drinks. Pretty neat, even surreal. Except you smell everyone's food.
  14. There are so many eBayers that need to be investigated.
  15. Oh well, that’s debatable. ::toggle:: Funny you should mention it... Do you actually have what I consider one of the nicest boardies on the chat forum on ignore?
  16. @ comix4fun and JAM_NYC Don't disagree with either of you but everyone does things differently. And like I said, I'm out of the discussion.
  17. I was speaking about some of the more abrasive personalities but I didn't specify that. I don't consider you abrasive, so it had nothing to do with you. Personally, I think there is a lot of good advice in this thread (and others) for Chip to use but unlike reading a book where that advice can be understood and assimilated in an easy manner where the reader may not be defensive, it's fragmented and colored with many different personalities on here. Another thing to address is that Chip has himself revealed several times that he is depressed. I'm not sure a public chat forum is the way to address all of this stuff. Now that every angle has been probably covered in all of this, I'm sure if that if someone wanted to reach out privately and invest some time to help Chip that it would be more appreciated than just posts on a chat forum. With that, I'm out.
  18. And guys, I'm not going to tell anyone how to feel about Chip or how to deal with him. What is important is that he is human as we all are and we all live and die by our own personal choices. So just make those choices.
  19. Most people's idea of Karma is that they'll take matters into their own hands. Karma only works if you allow it to work, meaning you just walk away. That's the beauty of it. It doesn't need anyone's help.
  20. I don't but then I also am not sure if he meant to deceive or just doesn't know how to manage money. Desperation is blinding and maturity is a progression. But what I am talking about is has he taken someone's money without shipping an item or promised something and not given it? Because that is what I thought we were initially talking about when people talked about his past toy dealings and his status on this forum.
  21. He's been here for 4.5 years and as far as I know hasn't ripped anyone off, has he? That's not me making excuse for his past, but at what point does a person start to get benefit of the doubt again? I know some people don't like his style of posting, but hey that's most of the chat forum for some people. Has Chip done anything fraudulent to anyone here since he's arrived? Money management is not a genetic trait and if their parents don't teach it, many are not taught it until they fall a few times. That was the case for me.
  22. I don't wish anything negative on anyone, but I find it ironic that some of the people clamoring the loudest against Chip have their own personal issues regarding getting along on this chat forum. Is everyone so self righteous that they can just talk about someone like they are a soulless entity. A void? A 2 dimensional cartoon character? The analogies are unsound if used as direct correlations. A person is not a frog or a scorpion or a snake. If they are, which animals are the ones who are pointing fingers? Gang, we are talking about people, not amphibians or reptiles. If snakes can't help their nature and zebras can't change their stripes, why do we have a justice system that allows people to restart and rebuild?
