  1. Don't ever speak to me. Casey, I like you and I like vaillant but you gotta admit it's strange that people are discussing how I go about choosing to market my books. At least it was for me. Especially since I've dealt or met in person with nearly everyone in the discussion and yet nobody bothered to ask me directly about it and instead posting it in a random discussion thread. I think dystopian was the correct word it in this case. It was kind of surreal to me to watch people talk about me as though I wasn't here.
  2. No problem but I wonder why you are selling through him and not just doing it yourself? Because then I don't have to deal with the eBay riff raff. What about this? What about it? Just curious why you'd consign when you have other options available. Not a big deal, just curious. For the same reason every other major dealer like Highgradecomics, Greg Reece, Harley, etc put books on eBay as well as their sites. Not every sees your website.

  5. Dear Roy, I was wondering if you took care of that thing from the other day in regards to that guy that wanted the thing last week taken care of? He is not happy that the other thing was not taken care of in a timely fashion and wants to see the results of the current thing before he moves forward with the next thing. Sincerely, Johnny "The Nose" Gaga-gool Was it dat ting about the ting at dat place? Done and done. Micky 'the hairstyle' Gamatti
  6. If someone had a question all they would have to do is send me a message and I'd answer it for them rather than have people make cryptic posts in a thread. Chip publicly offered his services to board members a while back. I know there are a few members took him up on it. There are many reasons why I chose Chip but here are a few: He maintains an eBay store so eBay charges him lower fees than I would incur as a seller without a store, he does a lot of volume which is advantageous to anyone selling (I have always been a low volume seller), I don't have to deal with the eBay riff raff of which there is plenty, I don't have to put up with eBay's unrealistic seller standards and I get to help Chip out - it ends up working for both of us. I'd add that I don't understand why something so insignificant is even anyone's concern but that doesn't seem to faze people on here.

  8. Chip has offered to sell books on consignment for board members for years. He does it for others. I don't understand what the problem is.
  9. Same here. .... I tried this in one sales thread and it was very unpopular with my regular buyers. GOD BLESS... -jimbo(a friend of jesus) I avoid threads like that.
  10. That's silly. Someone must have hit the notify button for it to be cleaned so quickly. And yes, it is silly.
  11. Decide what you like (GGA, Horror, Superhero, romance, etc) and go for mid-grade copies is my preference.
  12. Well...it's been two days. They snooze, they lose. Not unsurprising after Kraven was hijacked for the last 6 months. Camper, if you want Kraven next, you should PM Hokie with your address so we can get this community activity back on track. I typed the person that was next on the list after Vintage and he read the message and did not reply. I am just going to send it to one of the active members of this thread. It will have a bag of goodies with it. Take 1 item and pass it along. It will also have Kraven's weapons as well. Keep those with him or he will get testy. pm incoming. That list should really be redone. I don't think we should send it to people on the Probation List. OK, well if we're going to get the ball rolling and it's not too late you can send him to me. I was just worried that he'd be arriving too close to Christmas if he was delayed making it tough to get his stay with us done on time. Would have loved to have him sooner as he would have loved Oktoberfesting in our very German town but I can always find something for him to do.
  13. Ummm no. I posted pics of his arrival and every page of the scrapbook. Did that just get glossed over? OK, I just saw them. Missed them earlier.
  14. So it's still with Hokie? I thought he shipped it to you two weeks ago. I've never spoken to Hokie about it. Nobody notified me it was coming my way.
  15. Nope. At this point I think I'm going to pass.
  16. I would be curious what Mark has to say. PM sent. Hey, the rest of us are curious too. The answer is only for true collectors of early Detectives in high grade...uh, wait!
  17. Hey gang, I agree that CAK should have handled things differently but this is really a pile on now. He got his azz handed to him, he got a neg, hopefully he gets the point and learns from it.
