    Bags?

Is it a requirement that comics be bagged when sending them to CGC?
  2. Whether a person agrees or disagrees with you is a moot point. The author of this thread was charged $2/bag to bag his comics. As far as I can tell, this requirement is not stated anywhere on the site. I'll ask again...Are bags/boards a requirement to have your comics graded at CGC? A simple yes or no answer by CGC is all that's needed.
  3. You may be right, but that's really not the point, is it? Are bags/boards a requirement to have your comics graded at CGC? A simple yes or no answer by CGC is all that's needed.
  4. When / if CGC ever explains why a damaged box (supposedly) was opened, please let us know.
  5. I got bored and decided to listen to Mr. Mercedes by Stephen King again. I forgot how good Will Patton was as the narrator.
  6. That's what I thought at first, but @CrystalM CS said that they weren't pertinent, so it really can't be the graders. Whatever they stand for, it's quite obvious, from their silence, that they don't want us to know.
  7. Regardless of the outcome of this particular case, I was wondering if this is an actual policy at CGC. IOW, are bags a requirement when submitting? And if they are, why isn't this documented somewhere?
  8. Communication and honesty. They go a long way. I also think it might calm the pack of wolves. I understand your hesitation to do lots of emails, but I guess it's a case of 'pick your poison'. ps - I don't think you ever addressed that AF15 that @NP_Gresham sent you (along with >$3k)
  9. Not my first comic, but my first Adams.
  10. I would've done/said the exact same thing. I've been buying/selling on Ebay for a decade and never did a partial refund. Don't believe in it.
  11. Now that's what I'm talking about.
  12. I'm trying to think of another company that condones deceit from it's employees.
  13. The box must've sustained heavy damage ... how else would CGC know that they weren't sent with damage already on the book(s)?
  14. I believe the 14 days starts when you actually receive the books back, not when CGC ships them out.
  15. Were you given the option between credit or refund? This is actually good advice, and not just for CGC's bonehead errors. I just want to point out ... you caught the error. How many do you think didn't? I think CGC should rethink this whole ME/2 week thing as far as charging people. It should have absolutely nothing to do with when the box was opened. I wonder if the receiver at CGC who opened your box was named Angel.
  16. They can't make that a 9.8 again. To try is futile, and they know it (regardless what they tell you). All they can do is offer to pay for their screwup. But due to the gag orders they lay on you, we'll never know.
