  1. Curious... Is CL the only dealer/auction house who wanted to provide data selectively? Or are the other places who have declined against providing any data at all?
  2. A giant first step towards righting the ship would be to put 'do what's right' higher than 'do what's going to make us the most money' on the importance meter.
  3. Thanks! Is that on this site somewhere?
  4. @MattM CSThank you for clearing that up. One more question, and maybe this is outlined on CGC's website somewhere ... if not, maybe it should be. How is a double-cover comic graded? What's the policy?
  5. If they are on the outside, doesn't that debunk the 'NR prevention' theory?
  6. Never been an autograph/signature kinda guy. I think I have a couple, but it's not because I sought them, they were in the books (unknown by me) when I bought them. I understand a great many people get pleasure from owning sigs, and I'm not knocking that, but personally, I never understood the desire.
  7. Yeah, but can you do it by memory ... backwards?
  8. You'd probably be assuming correctly if you figured that a company with millions of dollars worth of customer collectables would have cameras covering every square inch of places those collectables go. Check the cameras, CGC!
  9. At one point, the op says 4 books total. At another, he says 5. I don't understand, but regardless, how could 1 book, of a multiple book submission, be accidentally switched?
  10. It's a shame that CGC can basically say "Yeah, your slab has ugly NRs, and you're not happy. But c'mon, it's not that bad. Just live with it. We'll decide what is and what isn't acceptable to you."
  11. @FFBDoes it make a difference if you switch the convexifness of the 2 half-backs? (yeah, I made that word up)
  12. I'm fairly certain I've read about SCS cases with the other guys' slabs. Makes me think this (SCS) is an all encompassing issue. What would it take to eliminate this? It's all about movement, correct? So we want tight, but not too tight? Is that even possible with the varying widths (millimeters or less) of comics.
  13. @jokersonyouDid you happen to get the name of the CS rep who, after looking at the pics, told you it was a 9.8 ?
