  1. I heard that. The price of a Big Mac these days makes what my dad used to say a lot easier to understand. "2 bucks is 2 bucks."
  2. Yeah, I did give thought to Punisher. What about his DC counterpart, Lobo? (I, admittedly, have never read his stories.) Never even thought about Conan. Does make sense, though. If you squint. What about that little guy that Superman sometimes fights, Mr Mxyplk. I know he's more of a prankster than a hero, but does he fit the bill?
  3. This probably isn't the best place for this, but with the way the boards are acting (again!), I'd rather not try to start another thread... re: ComicLink When new comics come onto the Exchange, there's a 'Date Listed x/xx/xxxx' shown. How hard would it be for all comics on the exchange to show that? @COMICLINK
  4. Recently, a family member posed the following question, "Is there a superhero who saves/rescues people, but also lifts their wallet or steals their watch?" Back when I was actively reading comics, I don't believe there was such a character. But it's been many years since I cracked open a new comic, so I can't say one way or the other if such a character exists today. I found the question intriguing, however, so I thought I'd ask here. Anybody think of any examples?
  5. Everyone should read the above quote slowly and out loud. Now look at the pics posted by @Drogio.
  6. The last few submissions, the Category column was filled in at the same time the grades were posted.
  7. Maybe I'm getting old, but I could've swore the CATEGORY column used to be filled in before the submission shipped. For instance, you could see if your comic was restored or not. Did this used to be the case, or should I be checked for Dementia.
  8. Does that mean they paid over a million bucks so the FTC would stop wasting their time?
  9. There;s nothing we can do? What's to prevent someone from making 20 different offers and deciding to go thru with the best one, and screw the rest. That just ain't right.
  10. It seems that with the frequency it happens (literally, every day) and the length of time it's been happening (weeks), solving this is very low on the priority list. So frustrating!
  11. But it had your name on it? Please let us know how it turns out.
  12. And 1 week later, back over 100. FT is quicker, however. Seems very convenient ... the less expensive option is getting slower, while the more expensive option is getting faster.
  13. Saying your slab is brand new tells me nothing about the condition of it. All my slabs with newton rings and scuff marks were brand new. I know, when it comes to my comics, I have at least a mild case of OCD. But I never considered the fact that that makes me annoying.
  14. We're just one digit off on a couple of submissions.
  15. Don't forget that they might charge you shipping charges from 2 years ago.
  16. I agree 100%. Unfortunately, I have my doubts whether CGC will do the right thing.
  17. Maybe he wanted to see how high the high-bidder's bid was? (Don't know, just spit-ballin')
  18. This thing is getting expensive. Figure I better get it now . I'm one of those weirdo's who couldn't care less about a little ct .

Yes. I had a couple of books rejected due to bring too explicit (The Dead, Arrow Comics 1993 - Gore Editions). "OK, cool" I thought. Then I noticed a few on the Census, which means they had been graded in the past.
