  1. I have never submitted for a signing. That said, is it clearly noted somewhere that you need to write the initials on the box?
  2. I sent my NM98 under the Modern tier for 2 reasons... - I suck at grading and didn't know what grade it might get. (It came back 9.6) - When figuring out the FMV, I NEVER use graded values. (As far as I know, CGC has never said to use graded values)
  3. 2 months to open a package. That ain't right.
  4. A few questions... 1) Which of these comics takes longer to grade, and why? 2) Which of these comics cost more to grade, and why? 3) Which of these comics has a TAT that is much slower than the other, and why?
  5. This was Modern Slow? That's something like 68 days. Considering what the Services and Fees page says, that's very fast. (it's sad that 68 days is considered fast)
  6. " The Sarasota, Florida offices of the Certified Collectibles Group® (CCG®) will close at 4:00 p.m. (Eastern time) today, July 6, to give employees additional time to prepare their homes and families for Tropical Storm Elsa. " Which we didn't have to do.
  7. I was shopping around for a nice looking Submariner #51 to buy and noticed that a lot of them have some kind of coloring flaw near the top staple. It's some kind of arc of black ink protruding inwards. I was wondering if this is something that CGC knows about and would count against grading. It's not on all of them, but it's not uncommon, either.
  8. I'm not sure I'm following correctly. Do you mean one place for grading & another for slabbing? If so, I wouldn't like that, to much handling of my books. On another subject, I know I'm thinking small, but could this possibly be a good thing as far as the sub-par slabbing? (foreign material, newton rings, scuff marks, etc.)
  9. That response from @Jennifer F. sure raises more questions that it answers. In fact, I don't think it answered any questions. But I'm not sure if all the vagueness and silence is par for how a company should respond. Maybe I'm being a little naive, but I don't believe dishonesty should ever enter into a business's modus operandi.
  10. I don't recall ever hearing exactly what , where, and who causes these. It seems like, because they are so common, not to mention the fact that we are paying for this service, we could/should get a detailed explanation.
  11. Me to the receptionist at my work: "I used the stones to destroy the stones." Receptionist: "What are you talking about?" Me: "You know. The Avengers. Thanos. Endgame." Receptionist: "Yeah, I never saw it. Not really my thing." Me: "We're no longer friends."
  12. I was watching an older movie the other night (A Bronx Tale), and I noticed a couple of comics in a drug store. I would've rewinded it to see what comics they were, but the remote was way over on the other side of the room.
  13. What's an audio movie? Just sounds like an audiobook with multiple narrators.
  14. Holy Moley! Just out of curiosity I went to the submission form and checked out how many of these things are scheduled. I had no idea ... not really a sig guy. No wonder the TATs are so long. CGC's ears will be ringing all day now.
  15. Isn't that 4 return shipments (4 shipping charges)?
  16. I'm probably just being overly worrisome, but I'd much rather have my package sitting in CGC's facility than the post office. The way I understand it, CGC has a postal annex on their premises. Does this mean that when the tracking says Available for Pickup the package is already on CGC's premises?
  17. I don't get it..."Now opening comic book submissions delivered the week of April 26, 2021." Yet, we have your submission. Regardless...
  18. I guess you could call it 'the spirit of fair play', but I feel compelled to say.... The auction books I paid for on 5/13 shipped yesterday. Lightning fast compared to last time.
