Cheapest Place To Buy Mylites2 In Bulk?
Jeffreykli replied to UnboxingTreasures's topic in Comics General
Shipping is the killer, so if you know someone locally with a Diamond account, you can order mylite2s through them and get volume discounts. -
When I used to set up at local shows, I would report my total sales and essentially eat the sales tax, since it wasn't worth it to me to calculate the sales tax and make change. I haven't sold in eBay in a year now, but when I did, I included a blurb about sales tax is due on sales within CA. Since I have a CA reseller's license, it's my responsibility to collect and remit the applicable sales taxes on all of my intrastate sales. I also selected within eBay the settings that allowed for be charged on my transactions, so if someone hit a BIN or made a best offer that was accepted, the sales tax would automatically be calculated on the final price and applied to the invoice.

JLA #75 is up because of Black Canary, not Green Arrow. -

It's been a while since I looked, but the first few issues (all covers) as well as #5 (Cover A) were all doing very very well.

UPDATE - My basement flooded where my books are
Jeffreykli replied to jhutton2's topic in Comics General
So sorry to hear about this, but at least the damage was limited. -
Wow, that's an old post. Maybe one of my first ones on the Boards! I couldn't find the old scan, but I still have the book. Here's a fresh scan of the front cover. I don't recall discussing changes to the artwork, although I think the reprint of the cover for the recent hardcover collected edition has darker coloring on the dress so that the breasts don't show.

Best Earth-2 Stories of the Bronze Age/Copper Age
Jeffreykli replied to Brewcrewfan77's topic in Bronze Age Comic Books
If you're going to get B&B #197, then you also need Superman Family #211, DC Super-Stars #17, All-Star Comics #69 and 70, and then Adventure Comics #461-463. That's basically the Earth-2 Batman & Catwoman relationship, and the beginning of the Huntress. -

Emerald City Comic Con, March 2-5, 2017, Seattle, Washington
Jeffreykli replied to HOTFLIPS's topic in Comic Events
I'm bummed that I'll be missing this show for the second straight year. It's a quick flight up from SF and Seattle is a great city. I hope everyone has fun. -
I saw it for the second time last night. I first thought the movie dragged a bit in the first half, but because I knew what to expect, the pacing seemed better the second time. Felt the movie was average on the first viewing, but, much better on the second viewing. Watching it in a small private screening room with a state of the art sound system doesn't hurt either.

Here's my keeper; I also had a CGC 9.0 that I sold this past year. -
Doom Patrol 99 (and 100) - 1st Beastboy
Jeffreykli replied to the blob's topic in Silver Age Comic Books
Not sure about if there are specific plans for a Doom Patrol movie, but #99 has been very hot for a while. Might be worth to sell the lowest grade copy of each. -
Bronze age comics that are heating up on eBay...
Jeffreykli replied to PeterPark's topic in Bronze Age Comic Books
I was pleasantly surprised by this one (mine is the $83 for a 9.2): eBay Completed - Spidey Super Stories #39 Prices seem very strong for high grade copies. -
My road to success (Moving Update 2)
Jeffreykli replied to uchiha101's topic in CGC Journals (old format)
The way I took the deal is that Gabe found the B&B for $1200, and committed to purchase it. He was going to put in $500, and his friend was going to put in the remaining $700. The book would subsequently be sold for FMV (around $1800-1900 or so), and the profits would be split according to the amount of money each person put up (so Gabe would get 42%, while his friend would get 58% of the profits). However, his friend agreed to front the full purchase price of $1200, with the caveat that if the slab was damaged, Gabe would have to deal with the original seller on a return. (Since Gabe was so honest and upfront about the deal). So, assuming all of the above is correct, his friend now has the book and will try to sell it for FMV, and when that's done, Gabe gets 42% of the profits for his end of the deal. Hopefully his friend is honest and will report the actual sales price and associated expenses so that they both can agree on the profits to be split. -
Very smooth transaction from his SDCC thread.

I've bought from and sold to Jason a few times. Always pleasant to deal with and everything has gone very smoothly.

Copper's Heating/Selling Well on Ebay

Booster Gold #1 is a very good seller; raw HG seems to fetch $40+. (I sold one on Tuesday for $46)
