  1. Greg, do you have a 'Tec #91? The 7.5 on Comiclink is really nice. The defects must be on the back cover, because the front looks much nicer.
  2. Hey, I've got some! Where's the "jumping up and down waving my arms from the back of the classroom" graemlin? www.detective27.com
  3. Oops, I got my Hughes mixed up. www.vintagecollectables.com is BILL Hughes' site.
  4. I'd add Comiclink, Superworld, and www.vintagecollectables.net (Rob Hughes).
  5. From an old Scoop article: The Lost Valley collection is an original owner collection discovered in the spring of 2003. It contains a wide array of the some of the most important comics from the Golden Age. Comprised of some 1,500 books, the collection is noted for its outstanding page quality and vibrant cover colors. The pedigree is recognized by CGC. Many of the books are the highest graded, 2nd highest graded or only graded copies. Remember that the very early books in the Mile High Collection were not original owner copies so the Lost Valleys are in some cases better. The Lost Valley collection spans from the mid 1930s to the 1950s and included not only comics but also unread Big Little Books and other paper ephemera.
  6. Absolutely. I always worry about shipping damage, but this one survived the trip just fine.
  7. I finally received my Heritage loot, there weeks after the auction...
  8. The only problem I have with date stamps is that some other people have a problem with them. So, if I ever decide to sell, my customer base will be smaller. But, this book is fairly tough in high grade, with only a few certified copies, so I'm happy to keep it. And, the price was right.
  9. The date stamp was NOT mentioned in the item description, and the pic was too small to catch it.
  10. Here's my eBay purchase of the week. Tough black cover.
  11. No, it's hideous looking. You've gotta get rid of that piece of garbage. I'm willing, out of the kindness of my heart, to take it off your hands immediately. Act now, that thing is so ugly is might make all your other comics ugly!
  12. You seem to be getting closer and closer to my Bday with those date stamps. That one's only two days off!
  13. Just received this eBay purchase. Not crazy about cream to off-white pages, but I got it for $23 below guide...
  14. The next movie features The Joker. The movie AFTER that will begin with The Joker's trial, where he'll throw the acid in Harvey Dent's face, and Two-Face will be born. Ah! I wasn't sure. Has that been confirmed? You would think The Scarecrow would come back, since that wasn't really resolved in the first one. That's how Nolan and Goyer have it outlined. Whether it comes to fruition depends on whether one or both of them are involved in the next two movies. My understanding is that Goyer is gung-ho, but Nolan hasn't committed yet.

  16. Those are beautiful. Wish I'd had a crack at them!
  17. Peter, I remember you mentioning this book at the SD forum dinner, but this is the first time I've ever seen the cover. Very cool!
  18. Bat-hound, you TOTALLY missed my birthday, but if you send that book my way immediately, I'll forgive you, just this once.
  19. Okay, I'm bored at work, so here are my Supes for those who didn't click on my link early in this thread...
