  1. Always great to see a date stamp cover.
  2. With certain books, they need to put in the inner seals that look like flaps on a mailer. If they don't put it a certain way, you risk the book shifting. Better to the side than popping a staple or tugging on the spine. I wouldn't tap the book to try and recenter, it might tear something. It doesn't always look the nicest, but at least it expands what is able to be slabbed.
  3. Two more from "comic con" ebay. Greg Woronchak with a Scooby gang mashup as Batman characters. Batman Who Laughs with Creeper taking Velma. This might get Steve Lydic colored in future.

  11. #'s 16 -27 DC Comics Presents Superman & Aquaman #48 Two stories, first Superman and Aquaman team up to defeat a race of alien octopuses. Second is a pirate story set in colonial times written by Roy Thomas. The Batman & Scooby Doo Mysteries TPB Volume #1 Collects #'s 1-6 Various plot lines where the Scooby gang team up with Batman and company. Legends StarxWars Ewoks Flight of Danger Collects Ewoks #1 - 5 Fun storyline with the younger Ewoks getting into dangerous situations. Only 973....
  12. #9 - 15 Bit of a crunch to get them to Rich Henn for San Diego and Terrificon to get signed for CGC so I had to do some screenshots again. I try to give books a one last read over prior to getting them signature series. Gold Key #22, 23, 24, & 28 Some of the later issues so not canon (the initial gold key issues were basically comic form of the 1969-1970 Scooby episodes. Still decent reads and you have smart Scooby (Scooby shows think bubbles and there is no accent or broken English for his speech). All gold key issues wiht Mark Jeweler variants so if I am lucky, I'll have Mark Evanier sign each of them. Scooby Doo DC (1997 Series) #5 First of only two issues written by Dan Slott (he wrote issue #5 & #50). Fred and the gang have to solve a case for his grandfather an actor. Since it is an earlier issue, Andrew Pepoy and Joe Staton worked as penciler and inker. My goal is to have it signed by Slott, & Pepoy while Staton remarks and signs. Sonic the Hedgehog Mini Series Issues # 1 & 2 Some grail finds for me at a comic con in Phillipsburgh New Jersey. Classic Sonic humor and on their way to be signed by Scott Shaw. Only 985 to go....
  13. Yesterday was a long 8 hr comic con day at Garden State Comicfest. I am really thankful that CGC or at least facilitators are showing up more to small and medium sized conventions. Darren Auck:Rocko Camping Darren Auck: Ghostbuster Rocko (will probably have Steve Lydic color and add Ghostbuster autographs one day) Fernando Ruiz: Scooby finds Predator Batman Adventures: Added Kevin Altieri's signature. One day will have to add the voice actors. Plus 7 more slots on my jam so only 10 more to go on a 6 year journey so far.
  14. Fedex just knocked loudly. Two more ebay "comic con" commissions from Greg Woronchak. The Hulk 181 Homage was really on point. One day this will get the Steve Lydic color treatment. Vampirella Dracuka Unholy: Dracula from Scooby Doo going after the girls. Might have Steve Lydic add a little color.
  15. One day, I hope to have Steve Lydic color this. Scooby Fighter by Greg Woronchak Signed by Dennis Lawson
  16. Ebay pickup Scooby Meets Punisher 11 x 17 Scott Neely
  17. Fell in love with this piece when a collector listed it on CAF in 2009. Pleased to find it for sale on eBay. Scooby Meets Punisher by Scott Neely 11x17
  18. I know bot a sketch cover but a bucket list piece. Saw this listed online in 2009 and made me want to get a sketch one day from Scott Neely. To my shock on ebay, it came for sale last week. Scooby Meets Punisher 11 x 17.
  19. It was originally a 9.4 when I bought it with one signature on it. I cracked it the first time and it came back a 9.4 again. I then sent it through a facilitator and they told me to get it pressed, which resulted in a 9.6. It staid 9.6 for the past 5 gradings.
  20. I love the fact they are back at the ice rink. I plan on having fun at the show.
  21. Its slabbed with the other guys but I was second in line for Denny O-Neil to sign a Green Lantern book for me. It took a half hour because he was talking to the guy in front of me about an old plot line that didn't go through. His agent finally said he had more people to sign today. RIP Denny
  22. #'s 4 - 8 for the year. Normally at comic conventions I go to get sketches on a ever ongoing jam piece/ I make it a point to go to a convention that has a Scooby artist so my budget normally doesn't have room for comics. Last Sunday went to a smaller con was able to add a couple little spots to the jam and was able to pick these 5 books up. #4 Marvel Presents Alf A mini comic that seemed to reprint previous books. Fun stories about Alf's antics #5 Marvel Presents X-Men Another mini reprint that had classic Stan Lee -script featuring Blastar. #6 Marvel Presents Flintstones Kids I wonder if Marvel owns the old Star Comics line as Flintstones and Alf had been Star Comics on the 80's. #7 Action Comics #463 Overpaid for sure but the cover called to me. Always a sucker for stories that have a background in American Revolution. Superman gets sent back to 1776 and gains his memory back in time to save the Declaration of Independence from being stolen. #8 The Flintstones at New York World's Fair. A grail book I have wanted since I started collecting comics as a kid. Nice enough I might get it graded. The Flintstones make it to the 1964 World's Fair and the only downside is ot didn't happen in 1969 as the storyline had 99% of the Hannah Barbera characters in the mix. Highly recommend.
