Personal grail for me on this one as a Mets fan. Dwight Doc Gooden was at Garden State Comicfest this summer, and he was a late announcement. My artist friend knocked this out in two days and since he was at the show it was witnessed. The only problem, Gooden loved it so much he wanted to keep it and thought it was a gift for him. Had to explain to him my Scooby mashup collection but he really enjoyed it! I might have to switch over to these sketch covers. The NG label means no worries about grade drops. On the flip side however, CGC doesn't seem to picture them or go too details under the verification id.

I knew cracking this book it would drop in grade. I felt it was way over graded the first time it was graded, and told by a facilitator the second time it was cracked to expect a grade drop. I made the person next to me in line at the facilitator booth literally cringe saying, "It's a 9.8 don't do it." My goal is the art and signature credentials not the grade. So here it is as a 9.4 but I am happy. I won't have to worry about cracking it out again! I'm trying to add Hogwarts cast members to the back. Added Dan Fogler to the back of it this time he plays the muggle in the Fantastic Beast Trilogy. SIGNED & SKETCH BY MATTHEW PARTON ON 9/9/19 & SIGNED BY KATHY NAJIMY ON 9/9/19, MATTHEW LEWIS ON5/21/22 & DAN FOGLER ON 6/24/23 ON FRONT & BACK COVER

Added Keone Young to this one since he had one voice credit in Scooby Doo. Scooby Doo & the Samari Sword. He initially groaned upon seeing it and joked that he is trying to forget the oddball credits he has done but he was one of the nicest guys ever. He wanted to make sure to add the character name and made it a contest to see who could find it faster on their phone. Myself, the facilitator, his assistant, or him. I won in the end and he insisted in doing a half dozen photos for the selfi option and told me to check before leaving and if not 100% satisfied he would redo the photos. Garden State Comicfest Summer 2023 Thanks to @Agents Of Slabs for facilitating.

Second times the charm. Lost out on this quite some time ago maybe within past two years off eBay, wasn't the right timing. Came up for auction on Heritage this summer even with hammer and all the other fees it sold to me well under what I originally lost it for. Added bonus I at least know the original owner since it was inscribed to them. I have come to appreciate picking up paper sketches that were personalized, it sincerely helps the price and it gives a bit of history for the piece in question. E-man as a Rocket by Joe Staton 1995

Looks like Nickelodeon just got the rights to all episodes from 1987-1996 of the Ninja Turtles. Let's hope it means they will air reruns sometime in the future. -
I wish you luck! Looking at the show, there is one I would love to get having just checked the roster. It does look like too small a show for a facilitator unless you luck out and its a facilitator's hometown local show at least from personal experience. No facilitator has the show listed under the CGC Signature Series forms to fill out. I know @Dork Buzz usually does Texas shows but he doesn't have it listed on his upcoming convention list.

Any Metal Men or Joe Staton works in the collection there?

It came out great @DELTA 62 welcome to the Scooby-Doo Sketch Club! At this point, Joe doesn't question too much when I ask for something Scooby related and usually just laughs before quoting a price. He doesn't remember my name yet but then again, 95%+ of what I get through him gets done through a range of facilitators (6 and counting so far). He knows Par2ch well enough now to ask him what Scooby idea are we doing today whenever he sees him. Although I did throw Joe off my last convention when I wanted the set of remarques of the whole gang and wanted the Mystery Machine included. First time Joe ever did a double take. He must not get too many requests for the Mystery Machine as he asked, "You mean you want the van?" I've been pretty lucky with different artists willing to team up Scooby with something they are more known for. Almost always they share it is their first time doing Scooby, say "That's going to be fun", or "Oh I loved Scooby growing up you want the original Scooby right not apocalypse version". 35 different artist and 83 sketch covers (including a few at CGC currently) & a few paper sketches later not including remarques it has been a long fun journey. A couple artist years later when I was finally able to see them in person for those I commissioned online thanked me saying it pushed them out of their comfort zone and they started doing a few cartoon type prints that has gotten others interested in their art. I'm almost at the point where I've gotten every artist on my initial bucket list from when the journey first started. (Albeit then I see a new artist do work at a convention in artist alley or find an artist putting a Scooby sketch cover for sale online... but that's another story I'm sure many of us have fallen into when on instagram, at a convention, or visiting an art website.) I have only struck out once with an artist who shall remain nameless. 2024 will probably look different if I finally accomplish a major grail and that might just finalize the Scooby collection with a few exceptions from my artist friend Matt Parton, or the last hold outs from my initial grail list. I'll leave you with my favorite Scooby meme as it relates to one of my all-time favorite Scooby sketch covers. Happy collecting

Some Rich Henn Facilitated books. Walt Simonson Flintstones Tim Matheson original voice of Jonny Quest on Jonny Quest A third is going back for mechanical error, they forgot to notate the book as newsstand and it is a personal achievement. Took 9 years to get back a 9.8 that wasn't a sketch cover book!

Lone copy in the signature series census. Signed by Tim Matheson the original voice of Jonny Quest. Thanks to Rich Henn for facilitating at Chiller Theatre April 2023.

I have only ever submitted twice to CGC's private signings. Each time, it came from the same person I had requested on the boards. Joe Staton, doesn't disappoint with this remarque. One of the many reasons why I enjoy getting remarques from Joe is no two are ever the same, and when he does the private signings, he goes all out.

Their sister company NGC coin has been doing it since 2008 to prevent counterfeit slabs, or people slightly cracking to switch out coins. CGC started softly in May, not on all orders. My Vintage Order from May 1st had it, but other orders from May did not have images. CGC seems to have started since at least 6/5 in regards to comics regularly. That was my first June submission that had photographs, as have future ones. I hope it continues, I was able to see what CGC private signing remarques look like before the book makes it to the front door. Below is an image from the May order.
