  1. Thank you, this is also the only Q*bert manual in the census.
  2. If a forum about jam sketches already exist, I apologize. Besides sketch covers devoted to Scooby, I am a fan of jam pieces and love seeing jams. So either finished or ongoing let's jam! This jam has traveled through two countries, and 15 conventions (struck out a few times for waiting lists.) Started as an ebay art auction from artist Greg Woronchak for outlining the jam in Canada. Dr. Claw's layer with his cat setting up his TVs for a teleconference back in 2015. Each character had to be a villain that came or had a big impact in the 1980's. Wizard World Philadelphia 2015: Jim Lawson Shredder Dan Schoening Stay Puff Garden State Comic Fest 2016: Morristown Edition Kevin Eastman Krang Saratoga Comic Con 2017: Dave Ryan Skeletor Steve Lavigne Rocksteady East Coast Comic Con 2017: Bob Budiansky Megatron East Coast Comic Con 2018: Diana Leto Grogar Phillipsburg 2018 and 2019: Cotty Kilbanks Rocksteady (I picked it up and an hour later realized she never signed. I went back she had to leave early so she signed next year.) East Coast Comic Con 2019: Joe Rubinstein Taskmaster Garden State Comic Fest Winter Edition 2020: Nick Justus Slithe Bob Camp Mumm-Ra Galaxy Con Richmond 2020: Alan Oppenheimer voice of Skeletor Frank Welker voice of Megatron Jeff Edward's Gargamel Thank you @par2ch for getting these signatures and last sketch.
  3. Big thanks to @Rich_Henn for facilitating back in February. Jeff Lee the creator of Q*bert signed and remarked this 1988 Atari manual and cartridge.
  4. Can't wait to see the take on Iago (especially if it is ASH). No Frank Welker the voice of Abu/Cave of Wonders?
  5. Ah there was a survey and I missed it! What were some of the other areas if you remember? I still want to see a paper sketch in a actual slab and not just in a inner well! Although I guess you could frame them the way they are slabbed now.
  6. You can't go wrong with a Jeff and Steve combination and Dan is brilliant to work with.
  7. I was hoping for a official slab for paper/comic backboard sketches probably trading cards though.
  8. #'s 236-242 Star Wars Doctor Aphra Worst Among Equals TPB Volume 5 Collects Star Wars Doctor Aphra #'s 26-31 & Annual #2 Doctor Aphra and Triple-Zero find themselves with bombs implanted in them by the man that appears in the first Star Wars movie that Luke Skywalker makes the mistake of bumping into. They find themselves on a plant run by martial law over run by police that are pro empire. The entire adventure is projected through Triple-Zero's eyes for the planet to see and the planet starts to cheer for the fugitives despite rewards. Princess Leia and the man from the movies hired bounty hunters to take out the two to make it more interesting. At the end, the bombs are deactivated, Triple-Zero leaves a mortally wounded Aphra behind wishing her luck. She was injured taking a hit aimed at a child. But as there are more issues in the series, I doubt this is the last of Doctor Aphra. 758...........
  9. #'s 230-235 Star Wars Doctor Aphra Remastered TPB Volume 3. Collects Star Wars Doctor Aphra #'s 14-19. The killer drone Triple-Zero is now in charge of a syndicate! He is now the master of Doctor Aphra and sends her on a series of missions with a team of mercenaries to retrieve from the empire's records his original memories to see what he was first designed for. Aphra also seems to have developed a crush on a captain of a empire ship and almost gets her killed for several demerits and they seem to have this capture each other...about to die together....kiss...then they get out of it. 765........
  10. #'s 224-229 Star Wars Doctor Aphra and The Enormous Profit TPB Volume 2 Collects Doctor Aphra Issues #9-13 & Annual #1. I really wish that Doctor Aphra gets her own stand alone movie if not a miniseries. Such great character attributes that you know she is on the bad side, but you want to root for her. Takes place after the Citadel Crystal story. Aphra sets up a auction to sell the crystal containing the essence of the old Jedi that seems to have murder on his mind. Her enslaved droids decide to have fun and unleash the Jedi to morph into a droid and they invite Vader (the last person Aphra wants to see). The bounty hunters that trained her killer Wookie show and he has a weird sense of gratitude for life debt. Wrap up, the droids black mail her to release them of service and they find themselves a servant to help them on their murder and torture spree. The Wookie takes over the gladiator arena and now has enslaved the two that trained him and he will break them until they are "great" as well. Vader won the crystal in combat and his dark master now has it as a keepsake on his trophy wall. Aphra thought she had it in the shade going to the scholarly planet until the people she double crossed in getting the crystal come to bring her to trial for murder. Can't she ever get a break? 771...........
  11. #'s 219-223 Star Wars Vader Dark Visions TPB Collects Darth Vader Dark Visions #'s 1-5. While this was a miniseries, it seems to be a collection of one shots in regards that each issue stood by itself. That being said, they were all rather good. #1) Vader gets shot down onto a planet and kills a monster that terrorizes the entire planet and is seen as a dark night with a fire stick. #2) A commander of a empire ship is scared that he lost a rebel when he hears Vader is coming to collect the rebel so he goes insane and flies after him through an asteroid field, loses all the tie fighters in a sand storm and orders his ship to fly through a worm monster the last scene as his ship dies and he wears an oxygen mask, Vader takes him down. #3) The nurse that assists Lord Vader's personal doctor has a stalker type crush on Vader and keeps scraps after his surgeries. She finally barges into his private chambers when his mask is off, she dies with a direct light saber to the heart. #4) A X-Wing fight against Vader and ties. A rookie keeps talking himself up and had the shot, he got stage fright and flew back all the others didn't survive. #5) A bar tender at a planet served both sides of the war. They have to turn in weapons at the door. Sadly, one rebel brought in plans Vader wanted and long story short, Vader goes hunting and doesn't follow the leaf your weapons at the door policy. 777............
  12. Thank you for the compliment. There were no graders notes in besides the obvious ones of who signed and when. I am not sure of the whole process of paying for additional notes anyway. Again the only reason why I pressed it was I was told there was a REALLY good chance it would go from 4.5 to a 5.5 Plus I think once you resubmit a yellow label the old one no longer exists. I just tried to check the certification # of the old slab and Verify CGC shows it as not found.
  13. Yes, I had a CGC 4.5 Amazing Spiderman #44 signed by Stan Lee in 2011. It was probably one of the top five best eBay auctions I ever won. Mind you this was years ago I want to say around 2013. The seller only had a 1 day auction and I won the book for $60 dollars plus $16 for shipping so it only cost $76! I brought it to a convention to a facilitator who was going to get John Romita Sr. they assured me that if pressed it will guarantee to jump and the value would jump way up. Not always a fan of pressing but gave it a shot. Besides the fact that I had to open a case with a shipping service due to temporary lost in transit, it came back after pressing as a 4.0. Albeit, it could have been over graded in 2011 but I find it hard that it would drop after pressing unless it was REALLY over graded in 2011. I am still a huge fan of Doc Connors the Lizard, and it is still one of my favorite signature books. Just glad I didn't send in Amazing Spiderman #45 graded 8.5 for the signing. That would have really hurt if it dropped.
  14. #'s 215-218 Star Wars Rogues and Rebels TPB Volume 13 Collects Star Wars #'s 73-75 & Star Wars: Empire Ascendant I can't believe they ended this Star Wars series. But of course, there will be a new Star Wars series hopefully to continue on with this storyline. Highlights.... #1) Chewbacca takes on Vader #2) The rock creatures survive and become a massive rock creature planet size that protects C3PO from the blast. #3) Leia's old boyfriend tricks the crime boss of a planet to come and get blowed up so as to free the planet of corruption. #4) Vader survives the blast....shocking While this is the end of one Star Wars TPB series, I am still behind with other Star Wars trades. Oh well, at least I won't be bored. 782......
  15. #'s 210-214 Star Wars Rebels and Rogues TPB Volume 12 Collects Star Wars Issues #68-72 Leia and Han are on a mission to get the empire to believe that a certain planet was now a rebellion sympathizer, Luke was on a mission to get the ships to follow him, and Chewbacca along with C3PO was sent to explode a planet only to find out that there were rock creatures and oh yes, Lord Vader happens to come to the planet to negotiate with the rock creatures. Also, it ended with a to be continued, as it looked as if Han Solo was being kidnapped. 786.........
  16. #'s 203-209 Scooby Doo #27 (1997 Series) I really miss the old Scooby books of my childhood. Actual paper feel as you turn the pages, and Joe Staton was the main Scooby artist! Part three of the ufo storyline. The gang has to unmask an small group of aliens that tried to steal a ship and to create a UFO Amusement Park. Star Wars the Scourging of Shu-Torun TPB Volume 11: Collects Star Wars Issues 62-67 The trades get better and better as the story continues. Leia and the crew get revenge for the betrayal of the fleet from Shu-Torun's ruler and they destroy the core of power that runs the entire city. Another example of having to kidnap a high ranking official to impersonate them so as to get dna/access to the main chamber to override the system. 791.........
  17. #202 Bloop part 1: Bloop is a space monkey created by Steve Conley. The green space monkey lives on an unnamed planet and has teamed up with Tomo a squirrel that prefers needlepoint over collecting nuts. In outer space, the Omnivor Mineral company plans on taking over the peaceful planet. Mr. Pinion the company employee who wears a purple one eyed octopus on his head and Cogswell the robot are instructed to enter Bloop's home to start the expansion of the mining company. I bought this book at my first comic convention, Baltimore 2015 from Steve and we were talking about Bloop and I was talking to him about his first issue but due to space I couldn't bring it with me and he looked at me and said, "Oh I've heard about people like you, they do exist." As it was my first convention and a tad bit worried I asked, what was the matter. "A person that actually read my book!" It was one of his independent projects that he thought was long forgotten. Really nice guy, and I hope to meet him again. 798.......
  18. #'s 196-201 Star Wars The Escape TPB Volume 10 Collects Star Wars Issue #'s 56-61 Another great installment in the Star Wars storyline. Leia, Luke, and Han get stranded on a distant world that practiced social isolation from the outside world and only received deliveries once every six months or so. Small break from the rebellion, but you know that breaks never last long. The leader of the planet is killed when the troopers come down and the rest of the population escapes to join the rebellion. Luke sort of gains and loses another girlfriend. (Made it into the next hundred.) 799.........
  19. #'189-195 Avengers the Serpent Crown Hardcover: Collects Avengers # 141-144 & Avengers 147-149 George Perez art is always a treat to read. I have always loved seeing his rendition of Beast. There was time travel, avengers going against Gang the Conqueror, conglomerate companies taking over the country in an alternate version of earth. Plus, Hellcat happens to join the avengers. 805......
  20. #'s 182-188 Star Wars Hope Dies TPB Volume 9 Collects Star Wars Issues #50-55 & Annual #4 The regular Star Wars series since Disney took over in my opinion is the best of the Star Wars story arcs and they are all good! Here are some highlights from the trade...... #1) Leia's newest ally is really a traitor. #2) The Millennium Falcon is damaged and Han Solo takes on the outfit and flies an X-Wing. #3) In order to escape the empire, Princess Leia flies an Tie Fighter. #4) Han, Leia, and Luke get promoted. #5) Luke Skywalker survives a Pod Race... hmm who was the only other human to fly a pod race..... Anakin! 812........
  21. Guy Gilchrist is sending this commission into Cgc for me. Keeping the mashup/parody theme going.
  22. Thank you, I always enjoy crossover mashups. Especially scooby since the 70's and recent reboots of teamups make it more believable. Just wish the ups guy didn't lightly toss the package onto the porch doormat. Inner well slightly shifts slightly when you move book side to side. Then again the book had to travel three days from cgc so can't say how it happened. Since I want the writers and artists to sign the back one day, I'm not wasting another slab fee now, it did however ensure no newton rings. I did see the animal wolverine it is cool!
  23. Hamburger College by Guy Gilchrist. Guy explains that most of the muppets can be drawn like a hamburger shape top middle bottom. Also a Scooby Doo.
  24. Back from cgc. Signed and sketched by Instagram artist Aaron Benson. This is his first sketch to be slabbed. Love the way he does his signature too. If my cons get cancelled this summer, which I'm sure will happen, I might just have aaron do a scooby version of this....
