  1. I’ll take the John Carter of Mars and Mandrake Four Colors at 15% off
  2. At one point in earlier Overstreets, there was a notation “no. 7 exist?” for this issue. Either it was truly elusive at the time or one of those copyright traps for people who tried to ape the Guide. Either way, I was pleased to pick it up recently here on the Boards as I think these long-running DC romance titles are an important part of the publisher’s history and it’s nice to be able to thumb through an example now and then.
  3. When I look at how mediocre some of these books are, especially the artwork, I regret hunting down most of these Marvels just like so many other people when I could’ve been buying books across all the other genres and publishers that offer so much more. p.s. Did I mention just how horrendous I find this artwork to be??
  4. I'm thinking a 5.0, but as scburdet pointed out, there is a loss of color and gloss which could knock it down a half-grade. As mentioned, these Kirby/Sinnott FF's are a real high point in the silver age.
  5. I was also thinking a 4.0 because the length of the tear, but it might net a 4.5. A clean-presenting copy of a true classic!
  6. I see I’m not the only Boardie with Victorian-era magazines. Amazing, focused collection, by the way.
  7. I love the color palette on this book - it's so autumnal.
