Two things, You should be ashamed of yourself using such small font for us old timers to try and read. I was in an Instagram live auction a couple weeks back and My Little Pony, Barbie and Care Bears books were selling like crazy.

Some of these members who just got here 13 hours ago surely are informed. I spent the first week just looking at books and trying to buy books in sales posts that were two years old. I did not even know this section existed for a few days. Kudo's for them for getting up to speed so fast and contributing.

The price is not as shocking to me any more, but what is shocking is paying that much for a copy with those awful pictures. I can't tell if it is stained or just poor photo's.

Then or now? Now maybe a 3.5 if you are lucky.

And if you collect DC Silver age War... 5.5 can be high grade.

Welcome to the forums. I would bounce around all the links in the forums and get a feel for the entire community. These threads won't do you much good for hunting down books. The Wanted to buy section and For Sale section are going to be your best bets for buying, selling and trading.

Excellent point and the very year this thread was started it was coming off the (based on gpa data) highest sample size in 4 years with 9 copies exchanging. So as it spiked to the high of 2017 , a rush of copies came to market, especially copies without support of the technical grade on the slab since that was the best time to upgrade. 2020's gap was tighter but 2018 and 2019 had impressive sales gaps. I wished all my stocks looked like that from then...

Thank you sir. I don't usually post big books although I see a lot of people do. My non comic friends have no idea anyway.

I watch several live auctions, I "try" to win several items in said live auctions but most of the time someone with some super internet speed or something beats me to the better books. For the most part, lots of the hotter books are selling for way over GPA or perceived market price. Even filler FF silver age gets snapped up quickly. The platform is pretty good. I have sold several books on there this year, and none I listed for sale. I posts pictures of some favorites here and there and usually get a few people asking if I will sell them. I sold a Camp Okajima I didn't really plan on selling because of such a strong offer. My IG id is @phillipkj4 if we are doing a registry.

Had these out while re arranging slabs with some new arrivals that just got here.

I have had a ton of that book and it by far has the highest potential for rusty staples for some reason.

But less than what a FF1 would sell for in 8.5.

As others have said, very sorry to hear about your mother, mine was 51 when she passed away unexpectedly.

They said non FF issues... 75 is actually one of my favorite issues.

A lot of us would. I would like to upgrade so if you guys can beat down the price by disparaging it and down voting it I would appreciate it.

I think the difference is we have seen an uptick in GSX1 freeing up where X1 was pretty dry for a bit. I don't disagree with you at all, I said a month or so ago the kids of the 80's may be drawn to GSX1 over X1 anyway due to familiarity so we could see it run up while copies of X1 sit in owners hands waiting to time it. No one is certainly giving away either copy right now, definitely a sellers market.

Was also signed and PQ was higher. To me that book has a few things I look for, No MC, Strong Red Color Strike then strong Green. I see some with strong red's but lighter green's.
