  1. Heritage 4.0 did set the recorded high on GPA last night at $14,609 although the CL 4.0 was $15250 a couple weeks ago. I thought the added supply would level off this book some, but obviously I was wrong. A few more already in preview for March CL auction so we will see how those do.
  2. People are so hungry for things to do especially where we are. Hope everyone stays safe but I suspect attendance to all shows will be much higher due to the lack of them. I am in Cleveland in a couple weeks for work and saw this show, too bad my schedule is set or I would have tried.
  3. That sucks, The National was from the 2-9 auctions. Now my CL wins have been stuck in Fedex system for a week without moving.
  4. Heads up I do not think you can only accept FF, and if you do FF does not trigger the confirmed address.
  5. Alleybat getting ready to set up the new profile.
  6. Nice books as always sir, hope you are well!
  7. I need to buy about 25 more copies of the first appearance out of the dollar bins first!
  8. What happens when they figure this out? I agree that Summer Special 1 is my favorite of the two.
  9. Now who can guess the obscure off the wall Villain that sparks the speculators....
  10. That’s what they said. My auction wins after have already arrived so they must be caught up now.
  11. LOL Wife from the other side of the room just said WTH are you looking at
  12. I think I am going to start calling all my bids tracking bids from here on out. I am trying to sneak in some missing FF books from my run and was flat out killed by more aggressive tracking bids. I really liked that FF75 9.8 but $7K whoa, I was hoping the one sold in January would have taken the must have collector out.
  13. Very true. Mine would only leave for a nicer copy.
  14. Which is it? I don't think prices are falling, I also don't think it is on the trajectory of X1 or DD1 in % gains, but it commands a hefty entry price so once the others catch up I think the gains are going to be about the same. Looks like to me the 1.0 to 5.0 are all trading higher than they were. CL auctions seem to be strong this past week and some IG sales I have seen suggest the books still moves quickly at certain prices.
  15. Great to see Comiclink get involved so quickly. Did you determine how they got to them? Just curious.
  16. Weren't we all complaining about how much the selling had fallen off here? I see the point but it has not been as heavy selling in the past 6 months. I rarely see sales threads in Gold/Silver/Bronze getting kicked to the second page on day one.
  17. Heritage wins finally showed up, my only GA win. Not the prettiest and wearing a green label but always liked this cover and never see it available.
  18. Ha that is exactly what I look for on this book, tough balancing act to not encroach the code stamp but get the middle blade, but they are out there. Much like IH181 I see way too many code stamps cut off at the top and people saying perfect wrap...
  19. No trimming on either. That 6.0 looked like an easy reversal, both could be living in new slabs before too long and seem like bargains in today's market. I am amazed how aggressive pricing has been, and if CL had extended bidding I bet we would see much higher bids. HA has a 4.0 that I think will set the gpa high this weekend, already at $8700.
  20. I thought we have been preaching this for decades, buy what you love.... don't do it with hopes of getting rich.....
  21. I would pretty much wager a large sum that FF1 trades hands more often than most "off" the radar of GPA. Having seen CL sales and IG sales you are correct that most are selling at whatever the asking price is of the copy and with CL they are being bid up strong. The 4.0 on CL just sold for 20K, the 2.0 sold for $12,249. The 2.5 sold for less at $11,600 due to being in a dunking tank at some point. In another thread they mentioned FF1 was a 5k a point books, I would say unless eye quality is off this is correct now. Only reason I am watching that book so closely is I had intended on upgrading, probably have to sit out now.
  22. No they did not try to get me to pay more, after it was denied the BIN was raised to $9242. What's funny is in this crazy market he just sold it in the past week for that price as it shows unavailable.
  23. You sir are my hero. I could not imagine it was missed by the seller and thought who in the world would cut what I think was a boxing kangaroo story out of a book after knowing it was an Okijama book. Original COA is here.
