    Is it really a problem that people get tons of books graded that shouldn't be? Sure it slows things down a bit, but it also helps CGC stay in business, it possibly makes those people happy, creates bargains for other people looking for cheap cgc books. Ain't nobody's business which books others choose to get graded. As long as those people don't complain to everyone who will listen about how the book they could have sworn would get a 9.8 came back a 6.5 because they didn't know what a crease means.

    Yeah I'll be waiting for this silly hype bubble to burst on ASM 263 before I get one. Ridiculous prices on ebay right now and other online shops seem to have been raided over night. Pfftt (secretly wishes he had had the foresight to load up a bit on this one and take some fish on ebay , oh well)

    indeed. I've read all of it and there are definitely some good stories in with the bad in the later half of the run. Plenty of cool covers and a handful of very minor keys so I don't mind keeping them at all I'm going through and grading the whole run right now. Quite a bit of my late bronze and copper age stuff needs to be upgraded, so that'll be a fun side quest. Most of it is at least in the VF range, but I'd like the average grade to be closer to NM-. Its just so easy to find books in very high grade there isn't much excuse to not upgrade. Yes this is what I'll tell myself as I dig through boxes at shows this year...

    I wasn't going to get any of these, but decided to grab the 1930s variant. I would probably get the Jim Lee variant if I had a chance at a decent price, but I wasn't going to go down to Midtown Comics for the release party early enough to be at the front of the line to get one before they sold out. Oh well.
