Is it just me or does the "Turok title box" sit closer to the picture below it, making the title on the right and whole book look bigger than the one on the left lol :insane:

Maybe I need more coffee haha

you know, the right pic does look closer to the title.  good eye

  2. Ok.  I got these signed at the 2019 Baltimore show.  The cgc witness looked at them and told me dude these look different.  I looked and said what the hell, they do look different.  I never caught it and i've had these books for years now.  Does anyone know what the deal is with these books.  Is one just faded or what? or do I have a rare one of a kind 9.8 five thousand dollar signed error book

    Mollie,

Can you add a DC's One shot for single comics so I could put my DC's Year of the Villain Special 1's with variants in.  I could really use the points

Due to the sheer number of DC one-shot comics, this set would be complex and never ending. However, we can create a narrowed down version like DC's Villain of the Year one-shot set with variants or a theme such as a specific DC character or DC Movie one-shot set. Please let me know if something along these lines would meet your needs. Thank you.

Specific dc 1 shot characters would also be neverending.  DC's Villain of the Year one-shot set with variants sounds simple and to the point.  I like it..I like it a lot jenny

I respectfully disagree with adding Superman/Doomsday: Hunter/Prey and Wizard: The Superman Tribute Edition #nn to this set.

Yes, Superman/Doomsday: Hunter/Prey does finish a fight started in the Death and Return storyline but it is a sequel that came out over a year later. I think the set should stay focused on the three chapters that ran simultaneously - Doomsday, Funeral and Reign of the Supermen form 1992 to 1993. Maybe have a separate set for all the Doomsday miniseries?

I do agree with adding Newstime #nn, D.C. Comics 5/93 as it was published by D.C. Comics to coincide with the Death of Superman but D.C. did not publish the Wizard magazine. I also think that since the Wizard magazine is not a comic book is another reason it should not be added, the magazine is nice but it's also a price guide. There are also other comics magazine tribute issues similar to the Wizard edition. Yes, the Newstime special is in magazine format, but it was put together by D.C. writers and artists, I know that may sound like a stretch, but the Newstime edition feels more like a comic book as it has art from the comic creators, while the Wizard edition is a collection of articles, photos and art.

I'm for keeping this set as it is, with D.C. issues cover dated from 1992 to 1993. 2c

    Hello B Shep,

I got a response from Mollie was just scrolling down to see what everybody else was doing, then I went to list the books she just approved.  I always look to see who's around me to see if i've passed anyone and I noticed your name.  I just jumped to the 1059 spot above you.  Every so often when I get books done i like to see who I've passed or who has passed me.  Just enjoying the competition.  I met a vendor at a local show about a year and a half ago, Ducky1960 i believe, who is way ahead of me.  I'll probably never catch him, but I enjoy trying.  Ever since i discovered the registry i've been putting my books on is.  its a fun thing to do.

  6. Mollie,

The Woods by boom studios has been created, but the variant cover to number 1 is not listed.  there is a slot for the #1 regular cover, but not the variant.  The registry did, however, allow me to add the variant to the #1 slot, but I believe it kicked out the #1 regular cover.  I think it did the same thing with another one of my books.  Could you look into this.  I'm just looking to get the points for both covers to move closer to the coveted number 1 spot.

    thanks

I spoke with the graders about this book and, apparently, Boom! Studios does not consider this as a variant as it has the same bar coding as the other regular cover. They did for the C2E2 Edititon, Limited Edition, Retailer Incentive Edition, and the San Diego Comic-Con Edition, which is why those slots are available. I'm sorry, but I will be unable to fulfill this request.

    Mollie,

That's weird, they're ruining my registry standings.   why would they create a different cover #1 and use the same bar code when it's clearly a variant cover?  Is this the first stump for you? and is this the first stump of this type for you?

    Hello Mollie,

I would like to request that these books be added to this set

Set: Superman (Doomsday Death Funeral Return)

    1) Superman/Doomsday: Hunter/Prey #1, D.C. Comics 1994, Cert # 1229734005

    2) Superman/Doomsday: Hunter/Prey #2, D.C. Comics 1994, Cert # 1229734006

    3) Superman/Doomsday: Hunter Prey #3, D.C. Comics 1994, Cert # 1229734007

    4) Wizard: The Superman Tribute Edition #nn, Wizard Pub. 4/93, Cert # 0804833001

    5) Newstime #nn, D.C. Comics 5/93, Cert # 0502341004

Rationale: Superman/Doomsday: Hunter/Prey 1-3 clearly round out and finish the Death and Return of Superman storyline as Superman, suffering from PTSD from his fight with Doomsday, hunts down the monster and finishes the fight started in the Death storyline.  All other Doomsday appearances after Hunter Prey #3, where Superman and Waverider throw Doomsday into the end of time, are clearly not a part of this set as at that point Brainiac steals Doomsday's body and starts something completely new and separate from this storyline/set.

The Wizard Tribute Edition and Newstime both memorialize the Death of Superman and should be included in this set as there is nowhere else they would logically be placed.

Finally, the name of this set is "Superman (Doomsday Death Funeral Return)".  These five books seem to clearly fall into these categories of "Doomsday", "Death", "Funeral", and "Return" and should be added here.

    Thank you!

    Jayme

Hey, I can answer one.  Superman/doomsday hunter prey is listed under Superman Miniseries Set

  8. Mollie,

sorry about that.  I didn't realize I had already listed my Noble Causes 3B in the registry.

Can Do you pooh 1 be added to VENOMVERSE 1?    In the comments section on the slab it states this is the (Venomverse #1 Convention Edition cover homage).  It's a little confusing

    thanks1943389559_DoYouPooh19.8.thumb.JPG.78cba3b1712127d76537955097b83670.JPG

Do you Pooh is just one book with lots and lots of variants. I'm sorry, we do not build sets that only contain one book, there must be an issue #2 (or #3 or #4...and so on) graded to build a set.

  9. Don't see these in the Registry.

Do You Pooh 1 by counterpoint.  I see it in the census, but not the registry.  could you please add it.  here's a pic.  there are many different variants.  I believe this is the Amazing spider-man 316 venomous chromium edition. Has the 2nd issue come out? Remember, we don't build sets if it is only one book and variants. There has to be an issue 2 to build a set.

And Noble Causes: Family Secrets 3 (1st app Invincible).  Don't see this one either

This is available in the Invincible Set.

Wonder Woman '77 Meets The Bionic Woman 1

    This set is now available.

I see you added Batman Damned.

    thanks

So....checking the status of my submission, I see that it is marked graded, but when I look at the Invoice all the fields are marked "na".  Should I be seeing any information here or is that the standard?  Also, does anyone know how long it takes to get the submissions back after grading?
