Absolutely not. $2000 for an ungraded modern variant from àn unproven comic is absolutely asinine. If you have the spare money and just want a yellow label Keanu Reeves signature, then that's another story. But in no way should that book be seen as an investment

    Ditto!!

What's Lynn Varley's problem with signings? Too lowbrow?

I knew they were once married. I didn't know about the divorce being contentious, but I figured it would be as I think most are.  I do know they've worked together.  Its not like to have a signing they have to be in the same room.  Maybe no one has ever asked her do a signing.  Same thing with Glynis Oliver.  She did a signing a few years ago, I believe its probably because she was asked.

  3. I like everyone's choices, but being these cgc events r very pricey I think it best to get multi sigs in one book at one time.  With that said, ill leave the OG requests up to you and request a few names on a smokin hot new current book.  The team should be up and ready to make the promotional rounds to push the book

    Matt Kindt

    Doug Braithwaite

(Diego Rodriguez ,Lewis LaRosa or Laura Martin)

    U didnt say no substitutes

    Thanks

Well sometimes it does work out!  SWIM had pre-ordered an HTC Vive years ago when they first game out.  The Fed Ex people delivered it, but they apparently delivered it to and had it signed for by some random neighbour who just happened to be outside at the time the Fed Ex person arrived...  I mean, it could have been just some complete stranger that happened to be walking down the street whenever the delivery person showed up!

SWIM contacted Fed Ex and told them they'd never received the package, and have NO IDEA who signed for it, and asked why they would simply deliver an expensive package and allow for it to be signed for by a random person who claimed to be SWIMs 'neighbour;'...  And even if it was SWIMS neighbour, who knows if they liked SWIM, or if I they owed them money and they decided to just keep the package?

    Fed Ex sucks.

It took a while, and SWIM ended up having to do a charge back on their  CC, but in the end SWIM won and got a refund, and Fed Ex lost!  It felt good to hear about an individual finally be on the positive end of one of these screw ups by a huge

The shipper  has the option of selecting Signature required or indirect Signature required.  If indirect Signature is selected then the drive is allowed to release the package to a next door or an across the street neighbor, but I doubt the FedEx driver would pick some random guy walking down the street.  If the shipped requires a Signature by an individual at the residence then DIRECT SIGNATURE REQUIRED would be selected by the shipper which only allows the person at the actual address to sign for the package, so they would not or should not get a neighbor to sign for the package

They are a gated townhome community like mine.. there is no common area, there was no street address given, I cant just walk in a gated community and knock on every door

Again, I'm playing catch up here, but here's the thing, when a Signature required is on a package that package CANNOT be delivered without a Signature, so someone had to sign for that package.  The driver will not be able to release the package without a Signature unless the driver either signed it themselves and left it or manually typed in the number, then changed the 3 digit code that will switch the package from Signature required to release.  It's a shady way of doin it.  It's like that so a customer can call in if they decide to change the delivery from Signature required to release.

Thanks I found out our regular UPS driver was out that day, and they had a fill in driver who may have screwed up somehow, they said they are going to try and trace it Monday

I'm late to the game and playing catch up, but its possible that the driver delivered it along with other packages to another location.

  7. Hello,

Could u please add Action Comics 1000 all the variants.  Not sure if it should b added to the action comics complete slot or a separate slot for 1000 variants.  There r so many variants it may b a better idea to add it separately.  I have the DC Boutique cover and the Bulletproof comics and games variant.

The Avengers slot doesn't go high enough to include Avengers 675 and variants. I have the acuna sketch cover.  Also seen it called the party sketch cover.

Also (1985) Shadow War of Hawkman 1-4 limited series.

    Thanks

    Hello @juniorMC,

Thank you for your request. Unfortunately, Action Comics 1000 is not part of the Action run. The books all share a slot in the Action Comics (Complete) set and any other books can be added to applicable artist cover sets.

Shadow War of Hawkman already exists. Please be sure to add all set requests in the applicable "Set" thread as this thread is only for slots.

  8. I previously worked for FedEx.  Not saying this is what happened, but sometimes drivers will be given more than what they can do or for whatever reason be behind in their deliveries and pick ups and will scan a package with the remarks that no one was home on purpose because they couldn't make it to the stop b4 the commitment time. Especially if the address is out of the way.  IT happens.

Oh yes, I forgot, the driver may have have left that area and scanned it as bad address or not available because he or she may have have been written up several times for other infractions and couldn't afford another violation.  More than likely it's a he

If everyone who owned multiple copies of this book tossed one in the garbage or the fireplace.....  do you think we could give it some value and respectability ?

If every other person who owned it would throw every copy out

    Sorry to disappoint!

The part that is glued on had many slight printing variations, here is a picture of a batch and you can see the subtle difference from the one on the top to one on the bottom. You have one of each.

as Mr. Zipper said, the holofoil part of the front cover is glued on and since they did a million of them they are all bound to be similar but slightly off.

that's not what i wanted to hear.  what about my 5 thousand dollar error book?

    You are correct.

Was the picture on those books a separate piece of paper that was just glued onto the cover?

The signature on both copies seems to skip a beat when it goes off of the picture and onto the background of the cover.

that pic is raised from the book

Is it just me or does the "Turok title box" sit closer to the picture below it, making the title on the right and whole book look bigger than the one on the left lol :insane:

Maybe I need more coffee haha

you know, the right pic does look closer to the title.  good eye
