  1. Don't worry to much about it if you can save your life that all that's should matter (I know extra funds always help but if you get to your goal of 50 000$ that in itself should be the greatest gift). Hope your operation goes well and you get many many more years with your family!!
  2. Curious what did it last sell for? Seems like a bad time of year to be selling any key books except for AF15. The last year seems like every other top book has slowed down a lot.
  3. The seller pays 10% commission. Ah now it comes all together thanks.
  4. How do they even make money let's say most people pay by check makes no sens? And what is the highest it can be?
  5. The 3% only applies if the buyer pays with a card. To me the $6100 for the taped up 1.0 seemed a bit strong. How much is the percentage if the buyer does not pay with a card? Is it 15% or 19.5% or in that ballpark range?
  6. ComicLink sold a AF15 CGC 6.5 this evening for 50 000$ + 3% commission (I believe it is 3% but I am not 100% sure) = 51 500$. 7. I guess you have you answer in the final price no probably not seen by many. Another CGC 7.0 just sold on ComicConnect for 65 000$.
  8. Well, so much for some board members who think that Heritage always generate the highest prices on books for their consignors. I believe it's really more on an individual book by book basis and also having some luck in terms of timing. Case in point: The 8.5 VF+ copy of AF 15 that was able to fetch only around $77K or around $20K less than condition guide price, in the last HA Auction back in August. Was that 8.5 book graded by CGC or another grading company? No not CGC it was CBCS.
  9. ComicConnect has a Hulk 1 CGC 8.5 up for sale. Link: http://www.comicconnect.com/bookDetail.php?id=682667
  10. ComicConnect has a AF15 CGC 4.0 & a CGC 6.5 up for auction. Links: http://www.comicconnect.com/bookDetail.php?id=685108 & http://www.comicconnect.com/bookDetail.php?id=691088
  11. Here is a X-Men #1 CGC 9.2 on ComicConnect. Link: http://www.comicconnect.com/bookDetail.php?id=682719
  12. ComicConnect sold their AF15 CGC 7.0 for 65 000$!! The CGC 6.5 AF15 sold today on Heritage for just a little over 50 000$.
  13. 13 days left so far this CGC 6.5 is at 48 000$. My guess it will go close to 60 000$. Link: https://comics.ha.com/itm/silver-age-1956-1969-/superhero/amazing-fantasy-15-marvel-1962-cgc-fn-65-cream-to-off-white-pages/a/7141-91231.s?ic4=GalleryView-Thumbnail-071515
  14. I am going to say 18 000$ to 20 000$.
  15. Nice looking CGC 6.5 on Heritage. Link: https://comics.ha.com/itm/silver-age-1956-1969-/superhero/amazing-fantasy-15-marvel-1962-cgc-fn-65-cream-to-off-white-pages/a/7141-91231.s?ic4=GalleryView-Thumbnail-071515
  16. Can't always be record setting prices....some back and forth but in the end there is more moving forward over the years and it will continue to be like that till it maxes out one day (if that happens). Good for the buyer it is nice to get a bargain every once in a while. The paper quality must have turned some people off....I for one would not want this book with cream pages of any kind (I am OK with cream pages on the following key books SC4, BB28 and TTA27 that is it for the top 10 SA books).
  17. Trickle down effect. I am not surprised I mean CGC 6.5's have been selling for over 50 000$ in the last 4 to 5 months.....you could get a 6.5 for about 35 000$ to 40 000$ 6 months to a year ago. I would not be surprised to see 7.0's hit a 100 000$ in a few years....maybe even sooner. I would not be surprised either to see 8.0's hit the 175 000$ to 200 000$ mark in the next few years as well.
  18. Maybe a bank wire transfer that would be really not smart on the buyer's part.
  19. Agreed!! Prison is where this guy deserves to be and hopefully for a long long time. Should have had the guy film shipping it out and putting it in the box that way he would have more proof nothing was sent out and have the seller send him the video.....witch he would have not done but at least there would be more proof of him been a thief.
  20. Look at his Ebay profile picture he is laughing his head off ....this is really a sick situation for the buyer!! I hope justice is served and the guy gets 10 plus years in prison. I believe Ebay only covers the first 10 000$. Why take such a risk when buying a book of this value go with a well known dealer or auction house.
  21. I'm very happy with my upgrade and it still retains its' White Pages. This is one of my favorite book of all time. Also, I have taken pictures of the interior of this book for all the Spider-Man aficionado to enjoy. All the Best. That is a stunner congrats!!
  22. Will do. At least you realize there are multiple parties involved in this problem.
  23. Go figure you have no proof and that makes you a liar!!
