  1. So...basically what you'd expect from their website. Not surprised, but thanks for going through that so other people don't have to.
  2. I'm curious too. prices that are listed seem a bit high.
  3. you sound like you're describing a conventional business. don't confuse the DBs with that
  4. I hope established artists have flip-proof prices. They deserve it. I definitely want them making the profit, not a flipper.
  5. Can someone give a tldr for those of us who don't have hours to watch? I'd never heard of this before either.
  6. I posted the published colored page along with the pencils or inks. Is that ok, or should I remove the colored page?
  7. Me either! I just looked at our email thread & I got your package 9 days before the hurricane or so. You know in general hurricane season is coming & a bit before a storm there's some uncertainty, but it didn't even really hit here tho...I didn't see anyone in Ft. Lauderdale with as bad damage (I'm sure there were some other tornados but I was busy, this kind of damage wasn't common - it was mostly trees down & fences knocked over). I don't know anyone who has had as bad damage in my lifetime or my parents living here. We did lose a weak 1970s constructed patio in Wilma in 2005.
  8. My CAF Goals I didn't meet: My main focus has been Silver Surfer / Ron Lim, but I didn't get any Lim artwork at all this year! Someone help me out, there's only a few days left! One goal I didn't meet was to get a Kirby page by his 100th birthday this year. Maybe next year before 101! Goals I met: I picked up my first Buscema page with Silver Surfer, almost by accident, thanks to CAT. I never thought I'd get one, and the seller lived a few minutes away from me. Crazy! I also got my first 2 Alan Davis pages simultaneously, one from Excalibur and one from Fantastic Four with Silver Surfer. Also picked up my first Mark Bagley pages. Somehow, I bought more Bagley than anything this year. 3 DPSes & a splash with the Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Thanos. Then a Bagley Defenders page with Surfer, Dr. Strange, Namor, & the Hulk. On a side note, my roof got ripped off by a tornado during hurricane Irma and my house flooded. Thankfully @comix4fun had given me a museum box for free not too long before, which made it much easier to evacuate with my art! (Before that, I just had individual pages in bags & boards, no portfolio, no nothing). Thanks a bunch!
  9. Published. Defenders From the Marvel Vault p20 Mark Bagley & Andrew Hennessy featuring Silver Surfer, Dr. Strange, Namor, & Hulk
  10. Published. Avengers Assemble #5 p4-5 DPS. Mark Bagley featuring Guardians of the Galaxy.
  11. On ebay?!? That IM #300 & Art Adams Godzilla are great too!
  12. Interesting question. I want to say it happened around 1967? Which looking up when your 3 examples came out would be right there...
  13. Stay away. Put that money towards an amazing early Avengers or Thor page by Jack Kirby.
  14. That's kinda the experience I expect from how bad their site is. That sucks.
  15. *bump* (I picked up some Alan Davis Excalibur & FF/Silver Surfer pages along with a Buscema page with Silver Surfer). I'm still on the lookout for PUBLISHED Marvel Original Art (mid 1980s - early 1990s, no color guides etc) by these guys: RON LIM (mostly Silver Surfer #19 - #65 covers, splashes, DPS, & other great pages, Captain America, but some others) Jim Lee McFarlane Art Adams Silvestri: Wolverine and X-Men Buscema: Wolverine or Marvel Comics Presents BWS Keown, Purves: Hulk Liefeld: New Mutants Larsen Kirby (mid period like Captain America or Thor, or even later stuff like Machine Man, Devil Dinosaur) I'm not interested in commissions or color guides or other unpublished work. I am aware of what's on Heritage, Comic Link, Comic Connect, eBay.
  16. https://www.bleedingcool.com/2017/12/01/liefeld-mcfarlane-forged-original-art/ matchesmalone posted the story link in the other thread the dumbest part is the grading company doubled down on it, and said they’re only verifying the signature after the fact. Not the artwork. Reputation ruined.
  17. I'd stopped using it in Chrome because there was a Chrome specific bug that caused it to not work for me. hmm, it seems to be working now. if it does that again, I'll give a screenshot
  18. What Heritage does should be the standard. The condition of the art should be disclosed. Full stop. It isn’t that hard.
  19. @stinkininkin addressed this in another post after a page sold on Comic Link recently:
  20. Issue number has no meaning to me. Artist and story.
  21. When I "Check Now" from Favorites on Safari on OX X 10.13.1 it doesn't seem to work. It just displays a 2 rows & a few columns with: all display list view_module sourceauctions artists dealers marketplaces recently listed6h 12h 1d 3d 1w 1m statusavailable closed
