  1. Sorry Mitch, no Johnny Dynamite but do have Johnny Danger I believe. I'm pretty sure I have #1 with a cool photo cover and an opium club story!
  2. No, I don't have that club kit, nor have I've ever seen it. Nice to know it exists. I will be looking for one. Too bad they don't picture the button. Thanks for posting this!
  3. I collect comic book club items (even non US clubs) and have never seen one. Perhaps Stephen could look through his books and tell us. I would love to see what one looks like if one exists!
  4. Hey Boardies Happy Valentines Day! Here's a couple of cool ones in the festive spirit. Please feel free to post any you've got here. I'd love to see yours!
  5. Posted these over in my thread the other day with some other G-Man stuff but thought they should probably fit in here too if you didn't see them.
  6. Great book Dr.! I picked up a similar copy at Wonder Con last year pretty cheap. An impulse buy. A great read cover to cover. (I am a big baseball fan so it wasn't hard). Love Eisner.
  7. What is the story on the "New Brunswick Collection"? Was it precode horror stuff? Atlas? Always like to know the back story on "finds". Looks like some cool books!
  8. Ajax/Farrell is one of my favorite pre-code publishers. I probably should post some. Here's a cool one. Has a twisted nazi concentration camp story.
  9. Yeah, cool book. I always thought that looked like Frankenstein.
  10. Here's something else you might like. Character dime banks. I don't know about you guys but mine would probably always be empty because I'd be spending all those dimes on GA comics!
  11. OK, you twisted my arm... Here is an interesting bunch. You all have seen Reform School Girl and many of you own one but how about the Digest? This one even has the elusive page 3 and 4 which was torn out of most copies. And the icing on the cake... How many of you have seen Reform School Skunk!
  12. Aww, you're making me blush Mitch. When are you going to come on and blow this thread out of the water???
  13. Thanks. I mostly collect pulps for the covers. These two certianly grabbed my eyes! I have a few more I think, but these are the best covers.
  14. Cool, thanks for looking Bang. Too bad it doesn't actually show it. What year is it from? Here's another cool very early comic book club. Probably not much out there from this comic but I've got this... I've got a lot more but I'll post them over in my thread when I get the time.
  15. Great issue Marty! I've got to drag out my copy and read it again.
  16. Today is "G-Man" Day. Got some interesting stuff dealing with Law Enforcement. First up is a cool pulp magazine. I find it interesting that the cover was later "re-purposed" for a paper back book. Next up is one of my favorite covers of this title: Here are a cool matched pair of boxed G-Man guns. These are Marx toys from the early 1930's. The black one makes a loud pop when fired and still emits about a 2" long spark from their barrel. The blue one is a siren pistol. It makes a loud wail noise when trigger is pulled. Nice graphics on the boxes as well. Looks like they used the same box for both even though they are marked siren pistols. I got them both from the same house sale. Here is an assortment of Melvin Purvis and generic G-Man badges and premiums. I probably have a few more but am too lazy to dig them out. I know I have a few rings as well. This is, I believe, is a complete set of all the Melvin Purvis rank badges and the manual with mailing envelope.
  17. Thanks Boot! I will have to keep an eye out for those...
  18. No, stuff like this isn't usually dated. I was told that it was late 1930's...
  19. And you might have signed up for the Tip Top Comics club and received this button in the upper left! I wonder if the next page in this book has an offer for it?
  20. I don't think this one has been shown. Classic "wash tone" cover + a Wally Wood story to boot!
  21. Classic Skull cover! This and Punch #12 are my favorites of this genre. I might actually like this one slightly more than the Punch. I really need to upgrade this one. Probably my favorite issue of this title. Just sooooo brutal! #24 is probably most every one's favorite and I like it too just don't have one yet.
