  1. A tip of the Blarney to you Bang! Happy St. Patty's Day!
  2. I love Hap Hazards. They are really tough to find that run if you are looking for them. Here is MY favorite one: (Feldstein goodness!)
  3. Hey MAD Freaks! I just posted some more weird MAD artifacts over in my "50 Year Junk Obscession" thread in the Gold section. Here is a little taste...
  4. Last one for today is a real MAD licensed item. The "Potrzebie" 45 rpm record in original seeve. It isfrom 1959 and was offered for sale in the magazine only. The 33-1/3 albums are pretty obtainable but this 45 is near impossible to find any more espcially in it's original sleeve. (Same image on both sides). Classic Don Martin art! I actally put this on my ipod!
  5. A 1960 Pittsburgh PA high school pin. A friend of mine sent it to me years ago as a gift.
  6. I love this 1958 "What me Graduate?" button. Obviously MAD Magazine inspired. This button and the next one are VERY rare. They were made for High School events and probably no more than 100 were made of each. They are also regional and probably only available in the areas that they were made. They are also obviously not licensed by MAD.
  7. A grouping of pre-MAD matchbooks and novelty items. Where do I find all this weird stuff???
  8. How about this beautiful Cherry Sparkle bottle hanger from the 1920's? This ties to the tin sign I showed last time.
  9. I know I just did some pre-MAD Alfred E Neuman stuff but had some more weird items in my photobucket. So, if you are a fan, read on, if not, get with the picture! Now, consider that this stuff is before MAD adopted Alfred. In some cases LONG before. Enjoy! First up is the set of "Sillie Willie" drink coasters in the original box.
  10. Maybe somebody should start a broken neck thread...
  11. Annother SA Action #240 cover featuring a prominent Sphinx with a little different spin.
  12. How about Action #56? What most people don't know is that the reason the Sphinx has most of his nose missing is not due to sand storms and errosion as I originally thought. In fact the Nazi's used it for target practice during WWII. What is wrong with people? It happens to this day with terrorists destroying historical artifacts. It is amazing anything exists from ancient times...
  13. Next up is a great Mystery in Space #36 cover. I love the combination of the Spinx and a space theme. Also a great "grey tone" cover.
  14. I like this Don Winslow #57 a lot. As an added bonus, it has a cool Singapore Sal story!
  15. I've always had a fasicination with Egypt and especially the Sphinx. It blows me away that it still exists, why it was created and how cool it looks sitting out in a desert. So, when I see comics that picture it, I have to have them. I'm sure I missed a lot so feel freee to post yours! Sensation #90
  16. Those Rock 'N Roll mags look cool. Being a graphic designer, I really love the typeface in the title!
