  1. Drucker is done and retired. Bummer...
  2. I suppose I should get these slabbed one of these days. But opening them up to that great Colorado smell and bone white pages just keeps holding me back...
  3. A fun flea market pick-up this morning. You just never know what lurks in those old boxes of photos...
  4. I have also thought of getting a Spy vs Spy with an Alfred in it by Peter Kuper. I don't know if he draws Alfred but I should ask.
  5. Yeah, a classic! I remember seeing that but by that time Al was gone as were most of the original EC artists. It was what inspired me to get this one done.
  6. The term “classic” only applies if you think it is. Or now days, as a marketing tool to squeeze a few extra bucks out of a book. There seem to be so many fish swimming to any book that the rest of the fish are swarming. Do they really think it is “classic” or are they simply following the school? Case in point for me. Cap #74. In no way do I think it is “classic”. In my opinion, it is poorly drawn and not striking in any way. There are many WAY better Red Skull covers out there than that. I love and collect GA Cap books. I once had a sharp copy and sold it for something else I wanted a lot more with zero regrets. Just my 10 cents...
  7. I can’t understand what he is pitching here. . Is it simply a nice newsstand return copy? If so, what is all the fake CGC labels and printing at the top of the book? I doubt CGC would not be happy about it. He seems to be pimping it as a “prototype”. Seems VERY misleading and a bit dishonest. Why would one do this?
  8. Good choice. I wonder how he would do Alfred E Neuman? Since Panic is MAD’s sister publication and I am a MAD man, I really like other MAD artist’s impression of him. I think I might try to contact him.
  9. One more “girly” GI Joe. I think this just about finishes the part of this run I want...
  10. Wow, yeah, very cool! I too am drawn to anything with an Egyptian theme. I really like Sphinx covers. Standing in front of it as a young man made a lasting impression on me. Never seen this one. But, the fun and challenge of pulps is really discovering them then trying to find them. Talk about a challenge...
  11. What is it about this hobby that creates guys like Theo, Chuckles and Carbo? God bless them.
  12. Are you positive Andy? Looks a lot like Stan Lee to me...
