Frontline Combat 12
Well, the scan looks pretty good, but the spine is nearly completely split, and there's some glue at the lower
staple, which is probably the only thing holding everything together. Razzafrazin' rotten...well, the interior
is nice, tight with white pages. "Looks good in a mylar"$15 takes it

Wow, just wow. I don't feel worthy to be here. I mean not one but TWO Bat ones? I'd be embarrassed by o show mine.

Great stuff here, all Top 3 worthy. Certainly the toughest year for me as a collector to narrow it down to three, as i had a great one. Was going to pick my Blue Ribbon Comics #9 also, but since my good buddy @gino2paulus2 showed his (and was instrumental in bringing to my attention the copy that eventually became mine )i'll pick another book.
1)The Berk auction was the event this year, i'll never forget that week , I finally scored a Larson copy (with a cool Octopus cover to boot)! 2)Also got an issue of the elusive 'Our Flag Comics' run in the CC auction before the Berk auction. 3)and lastly @Robot Man shared a tin Bugs Bunny toy a ways back and i've always wondered what it 'was'. Through much nudging from a friend who knows i love 'junk' i started perusing 'Etsy'. I saw and scored a complete version of this 1940's tin toy (with an original box!!). Bugs nor Porky 'talk' anymore, but this was the number one pick of 2017 for me.
Always happy to see people appreciate the whole spectrum of comic character collecting. Great grab on the Bugs toy Corey. Gotta be super rare and the box too? Never seen it. Was nice ce to see where my Bugs figure came from. Get it fixed and talking. In the toy world this is a very good thing as opposed to resto in the comic community.

When I saw this I figured I'd be in the minority. I'd go Black Cat too. For all the reasons listed and because it is a good read as well (for those who actually read their comics). Not to mention, it's a great Halloween cover too. Maybe my favorite Black Cat.
Now if you are talking "investment" the Approved would be a better choice I think. Baker is HOT and this is very undervalued I believe.
I get what sunburst says. He means it is not a romance cover. I totally disagree though. A lot of the stuff Baker did for St John other than romance is in many cases just as good or in some cases even better than the romance stuff and a lot more readable. Just look at that beautiful leggy babe. Come on...
If I were you, I'd save up my money and buy both!

Is she dead in current comics? Shrug I have no idea and I doubt anyone in the golden age forum will know either. Even if she is it is another terrible idea by Marvel.
Never kill off characters that sell your comic books.
Never kill off characters that are currently active and alive in your movie franchises...it is confusing to those new readers you are trying to acquire.
Perhaps I am just bitter/ annoyed as the top 4 comics I purchased over the last 5 years from Marvel: Hulk, Wolverine, Thor and Black Widow.
Hulk - Dead
Wolverine - Dead
Thor - a woman now
Black Widow - is she dead?
Great way to make me have a smaller pull list Marvel. Thanks for saving me money.
Wolverine dead? And say it ain't so... Hulk dead? Man, where have I been living? Hard to have a Marvel universe missing characters like that dead. I knew there was another reason not to read moderns...

As much as I love these boards, sadly, they have pushed a lot of stuff well beyond my means. Very hard to find cool "un-discovered" stuff anymore. Good for the hobby but not so good for us collectors on a limited budget. Good thing I started collecting the off the radar stuff long ago. On the bright side, when I finally decide to sell...

Wasn't this the collection that Brian Peets of A-1 Comics found? If so, I probably have a bunch of them I bought direct from him scattered through my horror boxes...

My Love 4
Here it is, the great Bettie Page cover. Needs a good professional press to knock down those wavy bits,
otherwise a solid book. General wear, light stains and a pencil name on page 3, light water lower LH BC
Tight with white pagesI'm asking an aggressive price, how often do you see a copy?
$125 takes it
I’ll take it via PM thanks Rick!
