This is like watching paint dry and then you don’t like the color...

Wow, what a spread Hap. Thanks for posting these. I forgot how cool #1 was too. I actually bought a #5 on the bay a year or so ago but it was missing the centerfold and I had to return it. I still need the #1 and #4... a couple months ago I was lucky to find a #6 at a toy show of all places.

Hey, RedFury! May I suggest you drop me a line at supergraphics@prevue.net which I think will provide an opportunity for me to send you an image for your consideration. And FYI: We're coincidentally in the same part of the universe! Small world, huh? JS
Wow, the man himself here on the boards! Welcome sir. I spoke to you at cons a few times about your love for pulps. It's great to have a true pro amongst us. Feel free, if you want, to share some of your stuff with us if you want.

I still hope for the day a grading service starts taking pulps. Challenging ask, but I’d pay more than I do for comic format. That space is ripe to explode. Just needs grading, IMO.
I think what would really make it explode is a book like the Gerber volumes of GA comics. I've been a casual pulp collector for probably 30 years mostly for the covers. I am regularly seeing great covers I never knew existed. Now, the challenge is finding copies. They are so much harder to find than comics.

Been on an EC binge again. At one time, I had a true complete EC collection. When the reprints came out I sold off most of them to buy stuff that hadn't been reprinted. I right away, regretted it. So, I'm about a third way into my second collection. When these two turned up on the boards, I immediately jumped all over them. I would have bought #5 anyway just for the cover alone. But to knock off two issues of this very rare run was a no brainer. Pretty good reads too. So happy to get them back!

Nice early windoframe cover with the Marvel bullet on the FC. Solid overall copy, flat and square, tight spine and CF, white pages.
But! there's a piece of tape on the cover, lower spine. Sigh, those madcap Sixties kids, making things tough on us old coots.Grab a pretty one with an annoying flaw for $25

I also picked up the GA and SA volumes from Costco today. Very highly recommended especially for 20 bucks each. Thanks for the tip Mitch!

I just have never been a fan of any of his work. There were a couple of pre-code Charlton horror covers maybe but that is about it for me...

Really tough to find in any condition. As Eisner discusses in the Spirit Archives intro, circulation had really dwindled by then.
I would love to have that one. I don't think I have ever seen one for sale though.

Looks like you had sold out of all the good books by the time this photo was snapped.
Yeah, where were the ECs Ritchie? Did you keep them "under the counter" and had to have a note from your Mother?

I have put my collection together carefully most of my life. There are so many books I could probably never find again to replace if I wanted to. Most of the big keys are pretty readily available if I had enough money. I wouldn't do it...

I predict romance photo covers are the next hot GA collecting trend due to this thread
There are already many that are...

That title as well as Robin Hood just don't seem to get much if any interest. Probably because there are no females on the covers I guess. #11 is actually very well excuted.
