  1. SOLD!

Wanted #40 Aug 1950 Toytown Pubs

Best one of the bunch content wise. Syd Shores cover and Mort Lawrence art inside. Real violent!

Fat 52 pages! A nice, bright, complete copy. A little less nice than the other two. Has some light cover staining. Has a neat 2" upper spine split. Bottom staple is popped. Some small edge tears and rounding of corners.  Light average wear. Book and centerfold bound to covers. Interior paper is lightly yellowed but supple with no interior damage.

    $25.

  3. SOLD!

    How about a cool pulp?

Jungle Stories Spring 1951 Friction House Pubs

Wow, what a cover huh? Great bondage cover that was stolen from a slightly early Jungle comic book cover.

Nice, complete, square copy with near full paper spine and extreamly bright color. Cover is neatly split at spine from bottom about 2-1/2" up and about the same from the top. Small chip out of spine in this spot. There is a neat tear that goes from this spot up and in slightly about 2" long. A few of the usual edge tears as is common with pulps and a couple very light stains on back cover. Interior paper is creamy to light tan and is very supple with no chipping or tears. Can be easily read. A great issue of this title!

    $40.

  4. Now don't I always bring you the "weird stuff" here?

Awake Magazine "Comic Books Should your children read them?"

A June 1983 publication of the Jehova's Whitnesses Watchtower" folks. 7" x 9". 32 pages. Printed in two colors on heavy newsprint. Has a 9 page feature on the evil's of comic books. Starts with a history of the early days of "funny books". Goes into the SOTI era and ends with why you should read the bible instead. Interesting that they are picking on more modern comics as well. Looks like mostly a pitch for the bible instead. Interesting, and pretty obscure.

Nice shape with a light "subscription" crease down the center.

WAS $40.   NOW $35. (where are you going to find another one of these?)

  5. OK, start out with something real cool you just don't see very often...

EC Fan addict membership card and cloth patch. This is iconic stuff if you are an EC fan. This is the 1971 re-issue version. Exactly the same as the original but a 1971 date on the card. Card has a couple small light surface spots where the very top of layer of the paper is worn off. No creases or tears. No writing on front. Patch is mint and un-used. Almost as hard to get as the original. An early fandom re-issue piece.

    WAS $75.   Now $60.

  6. Got a real short sales thread today. Just a few comics, a couple unusual comic book related items, a pulp, a Gerber 8 and a real rare DC 1945 giveaway.

    Rules:

No problem children or HOS members. Or people I just plain don't want to deal with!

Postage is $5.00 each for up to two comics, very well packaged. I will combine postage on multiple purchases. All will come with tracking.

I prefer to sell only to US addresses but might make an exception if I know you.

PM's and offers... I am trying to sell this stuff and want to get as much listed as I can. I try to price fairly. I probably won't have a lot of time to review PMs if I want to get this stuff listed. An "I'LL TAKE IT" icon takes it first. So, keep that in mind if you want something. When I get done, I will review PMs (in order of when they came in). If you have a question (other than a lower offer) post it and I will try to answer you.

Payment is by PayPal within 3 days FIRM. I will also take checks and money orders if you let me know after I send you an invoice.

Returns: No hassle returns within two weeks from when tracking says it was delivered. Return postage is on you unless I make a gross error and in that case I will "man-up" and pay return postage. I don't expect any returns though as I've only had 3 or 4 in 40 years.

This stuff all comes from a smoke filled, varmit infested, mouldy junk house. (Just kidding!) Here we go...

SWEET!! :applause:Not one I've seen before.  Later 50's early 60's?

A heads up would be greatly appreciated if it ends up in sales Thread. :luhv:

Neither have I and I have a lot of these Dell Subscription giveaways. It's from the late 1940's I believe. Probably shown on the back of Loony Tunes comics as a premium. Of course Corey. You would always get first grab on Bugs stuff. Check your PM's in a few minutes...

Finally completed this 3 issue 1952 run, it's been on my radar for five years (ironically, i found all 3 issues this year, with luck and assist). This has really been a standout year for me in terms of collecting. Junior Hopp Comics #1. After a long wait of this being on my saved searches on eBay (and being just a day too late inquiring about a copy listed on Terry's site a time back) this copy turned up. I think i won without much competition because this copy is sorely mis-cut (ouch)! But it has retained gloss, and the mis-cut gives it edge :D

junior Hopp Comics #2 Two weeks ago i was reading @AJD's journal (recommended) and @Marwood & I suggested he check out a site overseas for some nice foreign edition books. These, especially Australian and Brazilian are a growing interest with me, so i took a look myself, browsing even beyond the foreign variants.  Guess what was among the listings? This was the last one i needed so i pounced and two weeks later it's back in States and in my collection! Thanks guys!

Junior Hopp Comics #3 sports what is my favorite cover in the run. (Ow, she's a brick...houuuuse!) Much thanks to the Boards own king of GGA @Ricksneatstuff for this one :foryou:

Great run Corey. Congrats. Real hard to find. I like 3 best too. Got it from Al Stoltz. Took me a while to find the other two.
