I sure miss the days of going to a con with a hundred bucks and coming home with a stack of books and a Jack Kirby autograph...
Have fun Mike!

A Dodgers fan and now you don't like onion rings. I'm not sure about you Robot.
Allergic to onions. And always a fan of the team with the best record in baseball this year.

Bob's not up on the lingo you whippersnappers use.
Tomato / tomato Let's just say it didn't actually go on AT the party it'self. I told you guys, these guys were rock stars there were plenty of cute hippie girls at these get togethers. They wern't exactly students of the graphic arts. Also, in those days, comic books we quite popular on college campuses.

I trot this one out each year.
Trot it out every year Corey. I think I actually prefer the humor and funny animal Halloween cover over the standard horror ones. They tend to be very specific to the holiday and just bring back that feeling I had as a kid of the "big night".

One of my very favorite Jungle covers. I've got one already or would have pounced for sure. Nice pickup.
Me too. i have one in just about the same condition. I had to pull mine out to check the color and decided they were pretty close. Nice book and price!

OK, It's Oct 1st. Time for my yearly parade of Halloween covers. Since I showed most of them at least once, I thought I'd try something different. Taking a cue from G.A.tor, I thought instead I'd feature a complete run of one of my favorite pch titles one a day. This was the first one I completed many years ago (other than ECs). It's a great run of horror books and shows an interesting blend from bland to off the hook back to bland with the last issue being post code and pretty much killing it off. Since I got them a million years ago, I really didn't need to up grade more than a few. Some of these, you just don't see very often.
Since it will be done a few days before the big day, I will feature some new Halloween covers I picked up this year that I haven't posted yet.
Sit back and enjoy the run of Mysterious Adventures!

Bourbon and GGA comics. We must be brothers from another mother! Although, I don't watch football. It's LA Dodger baseball all the way for me!

The guy on the far left looks like it could be Alan Light
I saw Terry Stroud at the flea market today. He told me the guy on the far left is Carl Macek. He was always pretty quiet. I forgot to ask about the blonde guy in the middle. He said the girl was a fan boy fantasy. I do remember hooking up with a few girls at their parties. These guys were the "rock stars" in the LA comic book scene. And damn if they didn't get in a ton of GA and SA collections in those days!

Not Mitch. The guy on the right is David T Alexander. The guy second from the left is Terry Stroud. I believe the tall guy is Bill Stout. Can't remember the rest. Killer store! They got so many collections coming in that they were just stacked in un-sorted piles in the back room. I bought a lot of ECs and pre-code horror from them. Some wild parties too..

Golden Age group shot
in Golden Age Comic Books

Nice little group! The only time those would be together for me is if I bought them all together at one time. They would be soon split up forever into, let's see, 4 boxes. I just can't help myself...
