  1. I watch it on the BBC America app, through my Amazon Fire Stick. If you have a cable TV package, you probably have BBC America, and it has the latest episodes (no previous seasons, but it has full eps for S10 at least). If you can't find the channel or want to watch it on demand (no DVR or whatever), you can watch on something with apps, you may just have to put in your cable provider to unlock the episodes (not sure if BBC America locks them or not).
  2. Thanks for the pics. Nice looking Elric; I hadn't realized any of these First Comics came in value packs (but then again, I hadn't exactly looked into it before).
  3. Nice find! What else in that value pack with the Elric book?
  4. Thanks for the link, good to know about these. The two I plan to display are both loose (though complete), but if I ever upgrade to boxed versions of them, it's good to know about these...
  5. I have a random question...I've seen a lot of pictures in this thread of figures displayed in clear plastic (lucite?) boxes--not graded figures, just on display. What exactly are these called (for searching around) and where can one get some? I'm getting some shelving soon that I want to display a couple of my G1 Transformers on, but I don't want them to collect dust, either.
  6. While this is true, I believe registering the copyright affects the ability to collect statutory damages and attorney's fees, as opposed to just actual damages. Though that also requires more than just adding a (c) to it...
  7. Yeah, that looks like what I was looking for. Next time!
  8. If anyone here's going, (maybe setting up a table, and so bringing stuff), and happens to have an original edition 75 Years of DC Comics book (the XL version with the box) from Taschen, drop me a line I'm looking forward to it...finished my first pass of panels to flag, now I need to go through and start pruning because I can't be in 4 places at once, heh.
  9. I'm about to start the last episode. Still not great, but definitely better than the first season.
  10. Thanks. I probably should've been clearer in the first post, I was hoping to get some German-language older Marvel books (preferably X-Men, but whatever I could find). The day I picked to go out and look, Black Dog was closed (and from the description, looked more like it was a US importer...but it was closed that day anyway, so even if that assessment was wrong, it wouldn't have mattered), so I ended up going to the Modern Graphics in Kreuzberg. They were more modern than I'd've liked--more like Midtown in NY than a LCS with back issues--so I didn't really find what I wanted. I did just pick up an X-Men TPB in German, though, just to be able to grab something. Thanks for the recommendations, though. I think these came in just after I went there (I went on the afternoon of the 18th, so before the first reply here after the time difference), but nice to know I'd narrowed it down to the right 2 to look into, heh!
  11. Hi all, I’m in Berlin and Munich for the next week or so (wife is running the Berlin Marathon), so I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for good comic stores in Berlin or Munich. Not sure if I’ll have a chance to stop at any, but just in case! Thanks in advance!
  12. Definitely going to try to get to this panel at NYCC, hope it'll be interesting and show how much it was toned down or not (like the Happy! panel, which showed that it was...not really toned down, heh).
  13. After finally finishing the Malazan Books of the Fallen and associated side books, I've started re-reading Stephen Baxter's Xeelee Sequence.
  14. Shenanigans! I see no video games on this wall
  15. Thought this was just going to be an "I'm in Thailand" humblebrag post. Much better!
  16. I forget where it was said or by whom (an interview with the writers, Markus/McFeely, I think), but they explained away the double gauntlets by saying that the one in Odin's vault was a fake. There's a scene in Thor: Ragnarok where Hela's walking through the vault and she knocks it over and calls it fake. The only real gauntlet is the one Thanos has, and he got it from the dwarves.
  17. No problem (and yeah, the LS was 1982). That's not to say they may not be worth anything, though. I'd check eBay's completed sales to see what it's going for these days, to see if it's worth grading.
  18. Looks pretty nice to me. 9.4-9.6? Dunno. Just to point out, though, this isn't the Wolverine Limited Series #1, it's the #1 of the monthly series that follows the LS.
  19. I've got my tickets for all four days (surprisingly not as bad to get this year, compared to even last year)...I've found that once I expanded from three to four days, it took a lot of pressure off and I actually started enjoying the event a lot more the last couple years (when I did 4 instead of 3). I wasn't worried about going to the panels I wanted to and still being able to see everything on the floor because I had that much more time. Last year, I spent all of Saturday from like 930 AM to 6 PM at the Hammerstein Ballroom, in a chain of panels I was looking forward to, before going to Javits in time for the Black Mirror panel. I probably missed some good cosplay, but also the most crowded time in the Javits, and I considered that a fair trade-off. The Artist Alley being in the basement corner last year (and again this year, I believe) wasn't the fault of ReedPop really, it's Javits doing construction on that separated bay building (whatever you want to call it) where the Alley used to be. I agree, it sucked--I never spent much time there, but it was still much larger and easier to navigate where it used to be, compared to where it was put last year. But I also remember before it moved to that bay, and it was bad before too. Thursday and Friday are at least not as crowded as Saturday or Sunday (I mean, hey, Thursday tickets are still available, so clearly less people...). Everything is generally set up for Thursday, though some booths with smaller businesses/individual people may not be, but they may also randomly not be there on later days, so it's all a wash. The main stuff and all the comic vendors are usually there on Thursdays, though, from what I've seen. They may still be putting up wall books on Thursday morning, but they're at least there.
  20. Yes, it's all Turner's fault that they opened an unlicensed themed pub specifically to capitalize on their intellectual property and got shut down for it. Totally Turner's fault. They should try opening up a Mickey Mouse-themed strip joint next. I hear Disney's even more willing to let people use their IP for profit...
  21. I...can't contribute anything to this thread, as this is all before my time. But it's definitely fun to look at!
