Not sure of what you r looking for, you want some X-men homage cover? Could this come from any publisher, series? Or you search more specific stuff?

Is it the kind of things you want? >

Yeah, like that. I think to start, would probably focus on UXM 141 homages (as that's the most iconic, and probably also plentiful). After that, probably #1 and GSXM #1, but likely 141 first. Any publisher/series, I think...the idea would be to have a collection so that once I put up some display shelves at some nebulous future point, I can cycle in a wall of homages periodically.

  2. Hey all, does anyone know of any website(s) that has a solid listing or database of homage covers, or a way to search for them without just sifting through multiple random lists from Google? Or at least, lists of the covers that tend to be referenced the most? As I'm approaching the end of completing my Uncanny X-Men v1 full run (37 books left and counting...!), I'm looking towards the next goal to keep me engaged. Completing v2-v6 won't be too difficult, and while I want to start branching into all of the other X-related titles, I'm overflowing in my current storage space setup as it is, and all the related titles are...a lot, haha. So instead, I was thinking more about future display possibilities, where I eventually hope to have a few shelves to show some books behind me on work calls (since my future collecting space will likely also be my work-from-home space). I always had this in the back of my head as a nice idea, anyway, so I thought it might make a good next goal to work towards. And luckily (or unluckily?) for me, since my eye would be for X-Men homages, I'd focus on 141 and GSX 1 homages first, which I know have quite a lot.

But since there are a lot...was hoping there might already be some somewhat-complete lists out there to get started with, so I don't have to reinvent the wheel completely.

image.thumb.jpeg.b4020df2df6028e6db9807344a616ce8.jpegI have 2 Spinner Racks. I put comics out on them for Halloween treats. I only need one. I will sell this one for $300.
Pick up only in NY or NJ at a public place. PM me for details.

Sigh, wish I had the space for it...I've wanted a spinner rack for a long while, but just don't currently have anywhere to put it :(

  4. I think I’ll wait for the posted list to see what number I am…can’t keep count of names to remember what number it’s at, and anyway I figure mine’s by the bottom, it usually is lol.

Oh, and my lot (26?) should say US shipping, but I’ll cover the first $15 to ship elsewhere.

I'm on the DC side of things, so my pog collection would have to consist of the "Death and Return of Superman" set.  Pogs is basically a reinvented version of marbles or jax (if anyone reading hasn't played it).  Some clothing stores used to carry pogs - they were everywhere.  There was so much cool/strange artwork on many.  I believe I still have a tube somewhere...

Feel like I've seen the Superman set before...if it's the one I'm thinking of, it's a good one. Yeah, they made them for everything, though I think I'd say the most common I ever saw or still see are...I don't know what it's officially called, but like, skater art, rat fink art, random 90s-era zigzags, that kind of stuff. I never really had any myself (played it with friends a little, but only had a handful), but a while back, while clearing stuff out, my wife and I found a tube of pogs that she had as a kid, including her OJ Simpson slammer that said Guilty on one side and Not Guilty on the other :D. I'm hoping to find stuff like this out in the wild at some point or another, but I've only seen a handful of the Hardee's sheets over the years (plus some random loose ones).

OMG.  You've got Tiger, Micro Machines and pogs all in the same post?!!!  :jawdrop:

    :roflmao:

You know it! The 90s are alive and well!

Pog-wise, I have some Wolverine slammer still sealed from like 2005 when they apparently made some more, and a bunch of unpunched Hardee's three-pog sheets (including some duplicates, if anyone wants to trade ). There were a couple sets put out in the 90s that came all in like a plastic bag kind of deal (store-sold, as opposed to one of the fast food chain meal toys), but I haven't managed to find any of those packages in the wild (they're on eBay, but that's just...not fun, lol).

Ah thanks for the clarification! On the box it stated something like "from the vault" but I really didn't know what that meant (thumbsu

There were several different ones way back when, or more than I'd remember, so I wouldn't know if these were reissue or brand NEW!

    Appreciated!

Yeah, these were re-released at some point in the 2010s, I think. These look like the re-releases.
