  1. Thank you for your question. Stan Lee used a facilitator, such as Excelsior Comics, for CGC signings as they would submit to CGC on the customers behalf. We do not have the date of his last signings as these would have went through Excelsior Comics or another facilitator.
  2. Thank you for your post. Please find the private signing schedule below. If you have an account with CGC (even a free account) you can opt in to the CGC newsletters which is the best resource for this information along with the news section of our website. https://www.cgccomics.com/news/article/8231/
  3. Thank you for your post. Unfortunately, our graders would need to see the book in hand to make a proper determination. If the printing error is smaller it would most likely be omitted from the label description.
  4. Thank you for your question. The inner well and outer case will protect the book to a certain extent. Rough handling, shipping damage, or dropping a book may cause damage to the book and/or case(specifically staple detachment). When CGC receives a book for reholder, we examine the outer case and the book to determine if the book was damaged due to poor handling. In some cases, CGC must regrade a book as a reholder with the same grade is not possible. Due to the fragile nature of the contents, this is a possibility but it happens very infrequently.
  5. Hello, If you have submitted comics directly to CGC at a show you will already have a free account as well as an customer number (Starts with CS). Simply log into your account using your email address on file and the password and you will have access to the online submission forms. If you have any questions regarding the online form or submission process please contact our customer service team at submissions@cgccomics.com
  6. Thank you for your request. I have passed this along to our development team to see if it is a possibility.
  7. The pick up option is only available for CGC Authorized Dealers who live locally to the office. Regardless of membership type, the items would need to be shipped back to you with your preferred method. Thank you
  8. I would monitor the turnaround time for the submission at the link below. You can make estimates of how long a submission should/would/could be in a particular status but that is guesswork. Books may spend more time in one status than others so take it as a whole. Monitoring the time of each status can cause frustration so I would focus on the total turnaround time estimate to ease your anticipation. https://www.cgccomics.com/submit/services-fees/cgc/
  9. @nodakskip please feel free to email me with screenshots of the issues. We recently added the private signing option (Currently for Clayton Crain) to the online form which is $70 per book. Maybe this option was selected for two of the books along with an add-on service that would equal $85? matt@cgccomics.com
  10. Slot has been added again. Please make your future requests in the applicable thread pinned to the top of the boards. This allows the requests to be honored in the order by which they are made. Thank you
  11. @bug33fouf please see the directions above as this is not the slot request thread. Please repost in the appropriate thread. Thank you

  15. Hello @oceanbert Please follow the link and then click on the "Last" tab circled below. Once on the tab, scroll all the way to the bottom and you will see a section that allows you to reply to the thread.
  16. Hello @ScotchOnTheRocks, The other slots in the set may have been created a long time ago or the books may not have many secondary market sales which would cause the scores to be lower. When we add new books to existing sets, specifically older books, we will score the books according to the market value. If there are books that you wish to have reviewed for a score correction, please post in the thread below. Please be sure to read the thread guidelines before posting. Thank you
  17. Hello @oceanbert, Please make your request in the applicable 2020 thread below. https://www.cgccomics.com/boards/topic/462081-2020-i-want-this-to-be-added-to-a-set-request/
  18. Hello @Taxmick1 @Iconic1s @n2wdw. Thank you for proving your feedback regarding this issue. We do not have a policy in place regarding artwork in advertisements but I think it is best to exclude them from the sets all together. I initially added them as non-competitive to honor the request but it sounds like we are in agreement that they should simply be removed. The goal of the registry is to allow collectors to proudly display their books while competing with other enthusiasts. Completing sets can be satisfying and frustrating so eliminating gray area from the sets makes sense. We do not know how many other books the advertisement may have been used for and this may expand the set exponentially. It would be very difficult for collectors to search for and purchase books with an artist advertisement and will cause some to scramble to keep up by buying books that they may not necessarily be interested in. I would suggest adding these types of books to custom sets which can still be proudly displayed by our collectors. I am always open for suggestions as we want everyone to enjoy the registry so please feel free to reach out via the boards or email. matt@cgccomics.com
  19. Hello @KrytDrgn Can you please message me with the with the certification number for your book and I will investigate? Thank you
  20. Hello @comxdlr, Thank you for your post. We are always looking to provide the best experience for our collectors and will take note of your suggestions. I am sure that you are aware that the CGC registry needs a few updates and search optimization for slots/sets will be on that list. Regarding the Transformers book, CGC will defer to the book's Indicia to determine what title will appear on our label. In some cases, due to label spacing or other factors, we must change the layout or terminology on the label. The official book title would not fit on our label so we had to ensure that the important aspects were included. We also wanted to ensure that we differentiated this was a stand alone book, therefore it was labeled as issue "nn."
  21. @Qalyar Thank you for your post. Typically, a set will include the additional prints and variants if it is listed as a "Complete with Variants" set. For most of our modern sets containing books within the last few years, this rule has been a bit inconsistent due to the number of variants and additional prints being published. With our vintage sets (Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Copper) the guidelines are more strict as this was not an issue at those times. If a set does not specify but collectors request a variant or additional printing to be added, it is most likely added within the existing slot.
  22. @JohnFrost I am thinking that you can add this to a current set. The "Amazing Spider-Man (complete with variants)" set has all ASM books in it. If this particular book is not currently in the set you can make a request in the "2020 I want this to be added to a set request" thread. Please read over the instructions as we will need the certification number and exact set to place the book into for each request.
  23. Hello @johnmengel please post in the applicable thread highlighted below which can be found on the chat board registry home page. There are 3 different 2020 threads for the different request types. You will also find the instructions on how to post the requests. By using the proper thread, we can track and fulfill requests in the order by which they are made. Thank you
  24. @Get Marwood & I thank you for sharing. I will be sure to give it a read!
