  1. Yes I do. Besides having no Ebay activity for two years and 3 negative feedbacks, someone posted on another thread that Magic-Dirt is from New Jersey (same as the seller). It will be interesting to see if the seller makes you an offer for this book. Just think, if Magic-Dirt hadn't bid on the book you wanted, you would have won it for $627. If it was a shill for Murgo, then I bet he reads this and doesn't offer it ... Jim
  2. I made one order from American and it ended up being the last. Terrible transaction. I had to wait three months to find out the majority of my order was out-of-stock. This was after calling them repeatedly for about a month with no one on the other end being able to tell me the status of the order. Ended up with a refund voucher that I never used... Jim
  3. Not at the moment. It's going into the personal collection...next to the Unexpected #161... Jim
  4. Yeah...I know they're reprints but they're not easy in HG either... Jim
  5. Agreed...but I also see it getting worse (much worse in my opinion) over time... Jim
  6. Who cares who frequents it? If I put up a WTB post, I couldn't care less who fills it. Lowest price wins. If a zilliion dealers respond to a WTB post, the price will come down. Exactly. Also, dealers that are asking more for their books than the "forum market" is willing to pay are unlikely to continue to even bother responding if their posts aren't being met with sales. Hell...I just be happy with a response to one of my WTB threads... Jim
  7. A big shout out to GACollectibles for some really sweet King 3-paks! Jim
  8. The Comic Link strategy invades the CGC forums. I was going to make an offer on your Logan's Run variant before it was pulled... Which of course brings up the question...if yours was pulled why aren't a couple others? Jim
  9. This is the only 100 pager that I have a scan readily available... Jim
  10. OFF is 8.5. The AAMOW is more like a 7.5-8.0 but presents better... Jim
  11. Some recent acquisitions... Our Fighting Forces #85 All-American Men of War #102 Jim
  12. This should answer your questions... NDS/MJ Insert Comics Jim
  13. If you talk to him I'd be interested in hearing where he got them. I know, for a fact, Ft Bragg BX comics didn't contain the MJ inserts from 1986-on... You rarely see MJ inserts in any bulk even around military bases. I've scoured back issues around military bases in NY (Fort Drum), NC (Bragg and Seymour), SC (Shaw and Charleston), FL (Jacksonville, Pensacola, Eglin, and Hurlburt), Georgia (Moody and Hunter), Virginia (Norfolk and Langley), TX (Hood and Bliss) and Mass (Hanscom). The only places I found MJ inserts in any stock at all was Pensacola and Charleston. And even then it wasn't much... The only times I've gotten MJ inserts in bulk was in buying collections from indivduals previously assigned overseas or from German dealers selling US comics... Jim
  14. The NDS/MJ inserts started with April 1971 coverdated Marvels. If you have some from 1969, I'd be very curious to see them... Jim
  15. Says who? The collection I bought came from North Carolina. Info came from a former AAFES distribution manager who handled magazines as part of his duties in the early 70s... Also, if you look at the Mennen and AS inserts, they were geared towards servicemen stationed overseas. And I personally bought comics from stateside BXs in the mid-70s and again in the 80s and not one contained MJ inserts... The collection you bought may have come back from overseas when the servicemember PCS'd back to the States? Jim
  16. I was going to go lower but gave a higher percentage to ward off any questions since no one knows for sure. In reality, it's probably much lower then 10% and your 1% quote may not be far off considering they were sold exclusively overseas. Jim
  17. Not that I know of...they are vastly less distributed than copies without the insert. Regardless, I'm not sure saying it's less than 10% of the total existing inventory isn't being overly optimist... Jim
  18. For HG keys, he can expect a modest increase (about 10-15%) over a similar copy without the insert. Jim
