  1. The biggest problem with Channing Tatum might be that, at the current pace, he'll be 60 years old by the time they start filming.
  2. until

This is the same weekend as C2E2.
  3. I, for one, fully support spite blocking of bidders as I've partaken in it on occasion.
  4. I would disagree with that assessment as he outright says in paragraph three that it’s easier to make a good film with a franchise that’s on a downward trajectory. Making “good” a subjective term in itself as you’d be comparing his work to the preceding excrement (such as First Class vs X-Men 3).
  5. Bear in mind the article says the ranking methodology was based on Yelp reviews and were regionally selective. I read the ones for Alley Cat comics, and the text largely consisted of “this place is cool!” Not doubting any of these places are legit by any means, but it seems like a lazy method to assemble a “best of” list.
  6. I don't know man, I'm starting to get that X-Men Origins: Wolverine vibe...
  7. Now that’s an accomplishment. Being able to out-bad emo Peter and Topher Brock takes a special kind of effort. Although from what I remember of ASM2’s previews, putting some fat guy in a sweatsuit and calling him The Rhino was a good way to kick off that effort.
  8. Worse than Spider-Man 3? I never bothered with either ASM, a raging toolbox with a faux bed head as Peter Parker was a non-starter in my book.
  9. “they are destroyed” What a drama queen that dude is, definitely do a full refund and get your books back. And lesson learned, Frank Miller signatures generally aren’t worth the price charged if you just plan to flip them right away.
  10. I've always though Ray Stevenson would've been a vastly better Nick Fury as well. But as Family Guy (back when it was actually funny) once taught us, Samuel L. Jackson is in every movie ever made.
  11. They put the Knights brand on Punisher: War Zone too (highly underappreciated film imho). But is the Marvel Knights thing even still around?
  12. "I don't know how to read." - yes, he qualifies. "I didn't know a best offer could be accepted and compel me to buy!!!" Does anyone else start to lose general faith in humanity when reading this thread? People simply cannot be this stupid, can they? CAN THEY??? Sadly, experience has shown us that the answer is a resounding YES.
  13. Denzel as Batman, Walken as Alfred. Worked like a charm in “Man on Fire”...
  14. Relying on topless fire chick photos for promotion makes me think they’re already down on this movie’s prospects.
  15. Man, that fool's dealer must love him, because no way anyone in an unaltered state of mind could write that item description or believe that book has any shot at an 8.5. Just on the upper left of the front cover there's about a dozen color breaking creases/stresses.
  16. I wonder if these guys “authenticated” those bogus PGX Ditko’s that we all got a good laugh over.
  17. I had to go back and look again with closer attention to detail...holy forged signatures. Ramos’ is the most blatant, but they’re all very sloppily done in their own right.
  18. Another epic scammer meltdown It was interesting to read that not only was PGX once again proven totally incompetent (or complicit...?), but the accuracy of the other guys’ authentication also came into question. One more reason I’d never trust an authenticated book from either.
  19. Anyone know if the 10.0 copy has ever been on the market? If there are suckers nice people with much disposable income out there who will pay 5 figures for a 9.9 copy, what would the lone 10.0 fetch? 40, 50 stacks?
  20. Lately NM98 prices seem to have stagnated more than anything, certainly will be interesting to see what effect Deadpool 2 has on them.
  21. I said to my wife after we watched BvS, "Well that was a jumbled mess, but I really want to see Wonder Woman now." I haven't seen JLA yet but am anticipating the exact same, hence I'm going to wait for availability at the Red colored Box or Netflix.
  22. I would disagree on how much joy all this really brings him. I mean, sure he's getting all sorts of adulation (and cash), but at the same time he's not interacting with anybody. Just hour after hour of "Stan Lee", "Stan Lee", "Stan Lee"....then on to the photo chair with the endless parade of flash photography, then back to the auto table...wash, rinse, repeat. No talking, no handshaking, no photos, no looking at, or his handlers will break your thumbs. I'd personally lose my f'ing mind being herded around like that.
  23. Don't forget, its not just the signings, Stan also routinely does photo ops and the occasional panel. The only time I've ever seen the photo op line in action, I'd swear they ripped through about 100 people in 20 minutes. Makes you wonder how its worth it for either side. The fans stand around for hours in order to be near Stan for 4.7 seconds. As for Stan, sure he brings in the fat stacks, but at his age, unless he really is enjoying the constant travel and convention chaos, at what point is the money no longer worth chasing?
