    After I posted this I got a sense of Deja vu. I went back a few pages and I wrote nearly the exact same thing. My God, I’m that old man now retelling the same stories over and over.

    Avatar was dumb as rocks but it was fun and visually spectacular. Story is garbage. Cameron’s beautiful trifecta was his 80’s back to back films; The Terminator, Aliens and The Abyss. He joins John Carpenter in regards to their best work being in the 80’s.

    Great, now the prior Ultimate version I purchased is not the best version available. Someone tell Zack Snyder that the word Ultimate does not mean what he thinks it means.That’s like Ridley Scott releasing an improved version of Blade Runner Final Cut.

    That is simply crazy. I only watched the theatrical cut one time. So we are getting an entirely new movie. I mean I knew there would be a lot of new (old) scenes but what you’re saying is that I will only see a quarter of the first cut.

    Right, I’m wondering then how much of what I saw in the original was actually Snyder’s which we will see again in the Snyder Cut. Maybe Whedon only added 30 minutes of his own filmed footage after cutting it down. Of course I’m sure there will be detailed comparisons of both films soon which should give us an exact list of all of Whedon's scenes.

    I would love to hear Whedons comments on why he/they strayed so far from the footage they already had. I wonder if Whedon was told, “Dig through the footage and give me two hours.” How much of JL is actually Whedons? You know what would be better than the Snyder Cut? A documentary interviewing all parties and chronicling the entire project. The process of film-making fascinates me and now we have a product that is the first of its kind. That would be one hell of a story to tell.

    $30 to view it on Disney+ as well as continuing to pay subscription fees in order to have it in your library or $20 to buy and own the film on Blu-ray or even iTunes/Amazon. Its not about the money but the principle that Disney+ should give these exclusives to their subscribers at no additional cost outside of the subscription fee. Like HBOMAX and Netflix and AmazonAppleHulu.. well I guess all of them.

    Dear Hollywood, stop having cars explode. They don’t do that. I’ve seen dozens of cars on fire burn to the frame and no explosion. I’m sure it’s happened somewhere under the perfect conditions but it’s not likely.

    How times change. I remember agreeing with both of you that Snyder’s Watchmen ending was better than Moore’s. Comic book squid would have been so cheesy on film. Until I saw it in the Watchmen HBO series and it was literally bigger than life. I was in awe of how they portrayed it.
