    I rented it. Monsters were well done. For some reason I had a problem with the fact that Milla ended up in a Humvee either rolling over or falling through the air and rolling over or being kicked by a monster and rolling over a dozen times and she’s all good. When anyone who’s ever been in an up-armored Humvee lightly bangs their head just getting in it and needs 5 minutes to recover.

    Lame, but whatever. Tarantino gets away with it because his films are episodic by design. That’s why Hateful 8 was perfect as four parts on Netflix when the extended version premiered.

    I just checked out Paramount+ and don’t see enough to warrant 10 bucks a month. I got Disney+ for one year at a great rate and may consider keeping it if the rate stays the same. Also have Netflix, HBOMAX, Amazon Prime, AppleTV+ and AMC+. Will probably drop one or two of those soon. I have enough content for the year.

    So let me ask you this. Is Cavill being accused of hitting on young women just getting started in the business as you put it? Is he being accused of any misconduct at all? Go ahead and google for a while. There’s nothing wrong with being an Alpha. Nothing wrong with his statement either. Any man with common sense can understand very clearly what he meant. Maybe you and all the others who are fishing to find something to be offended at should reorganize your priorities. And don’t be so sensitive. I’m fairly certain your attitude would be different had that image of Evans been replaced by Cavill. And speaking of apologies, I can google too. Evans and Renner calling BW a slut and a trick? They apologized as well. But I didn’t take offense. I know it was a bad joke. I’ve made plenty of them. Should we delve into more of Marvels actors pasts? I’m sure Downey has a pristine history.

    The R rating would cover more than just violence. All around adult content as well as dropping the F bomb. It’s lame they can get away with a lot of violence but the F word gets you an R rating. And a Blade movie without Blade dropping the F bomb? Disney may as well give him a wife to carry his balls in her purse.

    Another case of his comments being taken out of context because the internet loves to be offended. I’m completely good with everything he said. I’m fairly certain Cavill’s idea of wooing and chasing a woman are different than the Whedon’s and Weinstein’s of the world. “There’s something wonderful about a man chasing a woman,” he said. “There’s a traditional approach to that, which is nice. I think a woman should be wooed and chased, but maybe I’m old-fashioned for thinking that. It’s very difficult to do that if there are certain rules in place. Because then it’s like: ‘Well, I don’t want to go up and talk to her, because I’m going to be called a rapist or something.”

    The way the film is set up has me believing Kong will win because Godzilla is the aggressor here and Kong is captured to stop him. Kong will either win by beating the carp out of Godzilla (literally) causing him to retreat to fight another day or a third party will enter the scene and both Kong and Zilla will tag team against said third party. I don’t care. I just want destroyed cities with the human toll exceeding both Man of Steel and The Avengers.

    I still think it’s great that while studios keep pushing their movies release dates back out of fear of losing a single dollar, Snyder’s early announcement was that we would get JL in 2021. Most of us assumed it would be at the end of the year and then he dropped the bomb on us. March. The man delivers.

    I love the streaming wars too because we are the only winners. Everyone is trying to get new and better content to us faster. Except Disney. It’s ok, Disney will learn as Black Widow starts to get stale on the shelf. I was excited last year and now if it were to drop on Disney+ next month (it won’t) I would get around to it eventually. No Time to Die is starting to get stale as well. This coming from one of its biggest cheerleaders. But everyone else is upping their game. Not just the big two; Netflix and HBO, but smaller ones like Apple and Hulu. But the theater experience is still the best. Nothing beats big booming moving surround sound bass to add power to the picture. Crowd reactions, applause and even that annoying guy with the phone which I will call out. Call out someone with a phone and it will be like starting that slow clap. Suddenly other voices will start popping in.

    I don’t see that happening. But I wouldn't care if they did. The DC brand would then focus on younger audiences and that’s a good thing. Kids need Superman and Batman more than me. I still got to see Superman snap a neck!

    Why does there have to be a competition? Just two products like a PC and Mac that will always be around. Marvel is obviously making more money because their formula is solid aimed at younger audiences. Young kids mean parents taking them. Even if the parents have no interest. More bodies. Then you have the target audience: teenagers. More bodies. And finally, the adult fans. Box office win. They will not change this formula and I don’t blame them. What ten-year-old boy is going to choose the The Dark Knight over The Avengers for a second viewing? Very few. So the fact it broke a billion really says something. The worst thing DC can do is try to emulate Marvel. They don’t even need a DCU. Give us more like The Dark Knight, Watchmen, Man of Steel and Joker.
