  1. That was my favorite part, I thought the de-aging CGI was nearly flawless. When I didn’t notice Sam Jackson was young anymore that surprised me.
  2. It will be hard to top the first season which was perfection and I don’t see it reaching that high again. Similar to Stranger Things. I really hope it does.
  3. Looks interesting enough, I added it to my watch list. I’m sure it will be streaming on one of my services soon if not already.
  4. I’ve been in 2021 for 8 hours now and it still sucks. This better be good!
  5. I’m traveling and working outside of my country and I have all three seasons of the original series along with Wrath of Khan and Search for Spock downloaded on my iPad. So you know who’s on my roster.
  6. Nice back-peddle but no, those are not movies I praised her in. Don’t try to make this into something it’s not. It’s quite ok, I assure you.
  7. You’re absolutely correct. Captain Marvel is a worse movie than WW84. Your words.
  8. Here’s the scene from Sunshine which is what I was thinking of as the score played for WW’s flight scene. Now I have to go watch this underrated gem again.
  9. I got in on a great one year sub deal with HBOMAX a while ago but when the year is up, not sure if I’ll continue at 15 a month. Disney costs me less than 6 bucks a month when I pay by the year and that’s a great value. Until they inevitably raise their rates. Netflix is free through my T-Mobile plan and I get AppleTV+ as part of my subscription bundle. Apple has very little content now but the future looks good starting with them acquiring/stealing the third series following Band of Brothers and The Pacific from HBO.
  10. Here’s my review that no one asked for. WW84 was a little better than Captain Marvel. WW84 was not a good movie. Honest opinion from a Marvel and DC fan. The first flight scene was good. But the score helped, just like it did for Sunshine.
  11. I just started watching it finally. 30 minutes in. It does seem silly and I’m wondering if it’s intentional like with the wishes. Seriously? Wishes? You can only get away with that in an 80’s movie like Big. But this almost feels like an episode from Linda Carter’s run. So far it’s ok, but nothing to write home about.
  12. I’m good with the four episodes if they decide to go that route. I really enjoyed the Extended Hateful Eight on Netflix which was done as four episodes ranging from 50 to 56 minutes each.
  13. There were people here on the boards complaining that it wasn’t available through Roku at the time. They want everything consolidated through Roku for simplicity (or maybe OCD) despite being able to access HBO through other means. I can understand that, I want everything running through AppleTV.
  14. I know he’s up there in age and didn’t expect him to be flying in an action scene. Just a small relevant cameo would be cool. Crusty old guy selling Max some gas in a bartertown or something.
  15. Oh yes, this is easily my most anticipated Marvel movie. I know it won’t have the level of violence the originals had as it will most likely clock in at PG-13 but I think Marvel can work in a lot of stylish off-screen cutaways. Plus they got a powerhouse actor in Ali.
  16. I can dig it. I don’t know who Anya Taylor is though. edit: Ok, she was in The Witch and I thought she was fine there.
  17. Why? Spence would be awesome to add as a minor character. Or just a cameo. No one would notice except die-hards.
  18. I’m not debating you at all on whether WW is good or bad. I don’t defend movies. I just hope for the best on all comic book movies in general. It’s clear most people here on the boards that have seen it did not like it. Honest reviews are always welcome. I just found it odd how childish some of the posts coming in are to gloat about how it failed. But I forget I’m on the internet and these boards are populated by adults and teenagers. We are all writing on different wavelengths. My fault entirely. I’ll watch WW on HBO here shortly though I’m not as excited to see it now due to a lackluster reception. I love it when I go into a movie where people are raving about it.
  19. I thought it was pretty apparent why JL was bad. Director left due to a family tragedy. I’m glad he was passionate enough about it to redo it. And hopefully it’s good.
