20k sounds conservative, if we're talking about a run of books. The Tec 1 (unrestored and slabbed 2.5) cost me 14k all by itself, and by all accounts that was a reasonable deal. I think you got a great deal. Right now Metropolis has two Detective #1's a unrestored 5.0 for $39,000 and a restored 5.5 for $14,500, I wonder what a copy in like 7.5 would fetch Good question---no idea! That 5.0 is pretty but I'm turned off by the tape.

Thanks for the congrats on the Tec 1. I'm now strongly considering a modest run of early Tecs. The market for them is small, I gather.

Underrated classic book. The consummate drug use cover ever. Awesome! +1 Underrated and undervalued, IMHO. Nice grab!

NM Dark Mysteries 1 for $300, wow.....I sold my NM- for $2200 a few years back. Of course, an "NM" in the ad might be a CGC 8.0.

Found this clunker by the side of the road while taking the dog out with the pooper scooper. Didn't think it was worth the effort to bend over and pick it up, but I just hate litter--that's how I roll. Really, can't people be more careful with their trash?

Ok, I promised no more book-buying for a long time after that Tec 1 purchase, and I'm keeping my promise. This book was bought some time ago but I asked Adam (Filter) to hold it for me while I was traveling. It landed safely today. Thanks for the great book, sir!
