  1. Awesome! Are you gunning for the Mr. Mystery 12?
  2. Looks like someone scooped it up already since I posted. I was going to pass up on it and provide a link for you, but the book is now gone. Guilty. I called them up and when I found out that no one had put a hold on it, I made a move. Free game I suppose, but not the world's greatest board etiquette.
  3. It's an interesting question. I don't know the answer, though. We might be seeing a spike or perhaps the market top is yet to come. I can't wait for a book to show up in the mail, though, so I can post it to this thread.
  4. I think over 40k is pushing it, but I've been wrong before.
  5. "Leaving it at this" sounds like there is something significant to say.
  6. That Randi Flim-Flam book is really fun. I've been to his home in South Florida a few times and chatted magic and science and stuff. Wonderful guy.
  7. Thanks for all the kinds words, everybody. Yeah, not even a nibble here. I'm a little surprised. I'll give this until the weekend and then it's off to ebay on Monday, if nobody's interested.
  8. I noticed that....I thought that would be close to making the sale. My former copy Oh dear.
  9. I noticed that....I thought that would be close to making the sale.
  10. Yep, it comes packaged with a cardboard back. Interesting that they did that. Here's some more info about the writing on the cassette. The tape is called "Saturday Morning Cartoons' Greatest Hits Sampler." Features the following tracks: Ramones: "Spider-Man" (That's the good song!) Matthew Sweet: "Scooby Doo, Where are you?" (Actually, I've heard this version, it's pretty cool.) Sublime; "Hong Kong Phooey" Reverend Horton Heat: "Stop that Pigeon" Behind the tape, you can see a coupon for $2 off the full "Saturday Morning Cartoons" album at any long-defunct Camelot Music store. (And the coupon expired in '96.)
  11. No x- men without wolvie, as far as mass appeal to non- comic geeks is concerned. Would be like never putting daleks in the dr who reboot.
  12. Ok, so I just discovered this one in my closet. I'm sure somebody's interested! Amazing Spiderman 408 variant, still in a sealed polybag with the Ramones cassette. (They cover the Spidey theme song, of course.) Tough book, looks VF/NMish through the polybag. A few light spine ticks look like the most significant issue. Cheapest BIN on ebay is $350, but I'd rather get in and get out. Take it for $175!
  13. Is there an LB cover registry set? If not, you should bring this great list to Gemma's attention. (thumbs u
  14. Yeah, I thought this book might hit 950 or so....my max was 850 so I just barely grabbed it. That Rocky Mountain copy is very nice, too! I picked up a bunch of RM WWs in the July c-link auction, including this one. Don't have it in hand yet, though...
  15. Man, that might be the only 9.9 I've ever seen where I totally get why it's better than a 9.8.
  16. Damn, MC1, More Fun 54, Pre-Robin Tec...I never ceased to be amazed at the way this board rolls.
  17. We're fans. Good to see that our keenness for the title is still strong. ....it's the kind of stuff you never get tired of. GOD BLESS... -jimbo(a friend of jesus) (thumbs u P.S. I really miss your website, Andy. I miss it too!
  18. Can I join in on this years-long conversation and buy one from somebody??
  19. Not yet in hand, but I grabbed this mid-grade Hitler-punch cover off ebay for under $200. Thank you Schmell crazy kooky auction insanity.
  20. That Roly Poly is a great one! Never managed to grab that one myself.
