  1. You're right, I probably should have gone into more detail, but I don't think I'm supposed to share my figures, unfortunately. I'm also someone in banking and finance, hence my familiarity with this stuff. Granted, I'm not American, but I can't imagine the numbers being that drastically different as to make your quote correct. I can't make it work.
  2. X-Men The Animated Series, the 1994 Fantastic Four, Wolverine And The X-Men, Transformers G1, Thundercats, Vehicle Voltron, Invader Zim, Justice League Unlimited, Gundam 00, Burst Angel, I could go on...
  3. The ONLY thing you're doing is following the crowd. You have no knowledge (NONE) of your own, and you're constantly asking us for picks.
  4. Yeah, Astonishing is pretty good, and reasonably noon-friendly. For other recommendations, can you be a bit more specific, please? Any era or roster you're looking for?
  5. Someone's going to wake up minus a kidney or two...
  6. Yep, can confirm G1 Megs was banned in Oz. Not to get political, but even today in my state if you want to own any decent size version of gun Megatron, you require an actual gun permit.
  7. It's a very good comic. A definite classic.
  8. Not sure how I feel about this. Fair enough it's not the first time they've been reissued, but that was nothing like this. Hmm. Got to admit, it does make me start to wonder about selling off some of my MOC originals.
  9. I liked DCUC more than ML at the time. I thought they had a perfect blend of sculpt and articulation. They looked great, still do. They did a nice chunk of my beloved JSA, which are for the most part, my favourite versions of most of them. Now they're a bit outdated, I guess, but I still proudly display them. I just need the upcoming Kyle Rayner, and I'm happy with what I've got.
  10. Oof. Can't believe I forgot two of my absolute favourites. Lose Pacheco and Larocca, replace with Ashley Wood and Darwyn Cooke.
  11. You're right, $120 is outrageous, especially considering Sunstreaker was that same price not that long ago, and he's obviously more complex than 'Bee, and that's before counting the additional gimmicks he had. And don't even get me started on Prime's pricing. Geez it's outrageous. I agree on the upcoming War For Cybertron: Siege Optimus, but I always have a soft spot for Cybertron designs (the series, that is, it's one of my favourite TF cartoons). Glad to see it get some love. Also, very interesting news about DST buying Gentle Giant. Wonder how that'll affect Gentle Giant's contract with Hasbro?
  12. I really didn't like the first Masterpiece Bumblebee, but this new V2 looks pretty darn good. The proportions are a lot better, thanks to the chibi alt-mode, maybe a bit too thin, but certainly a vast step up. Anyone else in for another G1 Bumblebee?
  13. What happened to your comic that was supposedly the 'first apperance' of Magneto?
  14. Errrr... most of the people here ARE avid Marvel fans. And real fans at that, not fair weather 'fans' here because we smell a buck. We've followed these characters for decades, way before they were in the public zeitgeist.
  15. And there we go, a Mafex Cyclops. Looks like Mafex it is, in the battle of Revoltech vs Mafex Wolvie.
  16. Marvel: The Untold Story by Sean Howe DC Comics The Golden Age by Paul Levitz - I haven't actually read this one yet, but it looks good.
  17. IT WAZ A JOKE U GUIS DON'T U L1KE JOEKS?
  18. Judgement Day was collected by a company called Checker Comics, a bit more than a decade ago. They also did tpbs of Moore's Supreme run, although I believe the reproduction was subpar as it used scans. Alan Moore's WildCATS was collected in a softcover omnibus, also about a decade ago, iirc. I think it may been have been slightly undersized compared to a regular comic? Perhaps?
  19. Such a joke that you repeated these claims in not one, but TWO different threads here. Extremely odd thing to do for a joke, and your context, particularly in the other thread, wipes away any doubt of that being a possibility. You're a terrible liar. Add that to the list of things we've seen you be terrible at.
  20. I have nothing but love for those early DCD's. That Hourman figure is what introduced me to the JSA, a love affair I'm extremely happy with. It also nudged me back into superhero comics after a brief hiatus, as I wanted to learn more about the character. Today Rex is one of my all time favourite comic characters, and other members of the Justice Society are close behind him. That's a fantastic lot of figures. I'm extremely jelly!
  21. If you hate them why are you using their message boards? What horrific round of Russian roulette did we lose that means you're still here?
  22. Good example, as there basically IS Watchmen with art by Liefeld. It's called Judgement Day, and was written by Alan Moore. It explores complex themes and tackles lofty high-concept drama, and is in some ways the closest thing Moore did to a Watchmen sequel (in a higher way, as the core concept is very different, obviously). But the art was awful, and the complicated scenes from the -script just weren't recognisable in the book itself, so it felt somewhat jagged in parts. No one cares about Judgement Day. This is in spite of the fact it features other artists in large parts too, including some classic names many put on their all-time greats lists. Is the Liefeld stigma that strong? I think so, in this case. I don't think it's the characters themselves. After all, it didn't hurt Watchmen that the main cast were ersatzs of pre-existing characters. Thus your point.
