  1. No pics, but I picked up the main 4, plus Silver Surfer, from the 90's Fantastic Four cartoon line. Great to have these carded, and they're the first wave, so the painted Invisible Woman and the dodgier Human Torch (I can't remember it's history, repaint of Daredevil or something, or no I'm thinking of the first ML...). Very please with them.
  2. I believe Sherlock would refuse your case, and resent the mention of his name...
  3. Well, we know what kind of person he is. Or isn't.
  4. He killed me softly, with his song.
  5. Joe Russo (one of the directors) has also said that Valkyrie did indeed survive the attack.
  6. This was really well done, considering the cast size. Definitely worth seeing on the big screen.
  7. 'There's no point discussing a normal return scenario for someone unhappy with their books, as we both know this ain't that. This is pretty straightforward, so we don't need to muddy it up with' what ifs'. His wife isn't my problem. My problem is getting you the books sent in good order, which I have done. From here it's between you and your friend, as to whether he pays you back or not for the cost of the books. That's none of my business, though. My business is getting paid for the books sent. It really is that simple. '
  8. A situation much like this happened to me just last week. An American friend contacted me some months ago, telling me her cousin( note I have no connection to said cousin at this stage, he's just a rando) collected Funko POPs, and that there were some upcoming Australian exclusive ones that he really wanted. Could I get them for him. I got a bad feeling about it all right there, but I ignored it and carried on down Stupidity Lane. They were sold out everywhere, apparently, could I help? So okay, as a collector of action figs and statues myself, I tried my normal dealers. Nothing. But I did find luck with a store id been meaning to buy from for some time. They took the preorder, all good.i informed my friend, and she likewise told her cousin, that they're ordered, that's it, we're good, you can stop looking for them. I also briefly went through my selling rules, which are that I don't charge a finders fee, and only expect exact reimbursement for my costs and shipping. I told her not to pay until I've mailed the final package to America (they had to come to me first), so I'll have a complete total, including any currency conversion charges, etc. All cool with them. Now, the expected date was a bit unclear, saying either October or January. They didn't ship in October, so okay, January. In January there was nothing, so I emailed the store and was told they'd been pushed back to April. I gave all these updates to my friend, no worry. I even said at one stage I can cancel if you want, seeing it's taken so long, and she emphatically replied 'no'. Okay. They arrived last week. I messaged my friend and told her, and told her I needed the mailing address, to forward them to America. She's gets back to me and tells me 'oh, he said he already got them somewhere else'. My reply? 'Well now he's got two.' Cousin was insistent on not paying, because he bought them elsewhere, and he says he never got updates. My response to that was that my friend/his cousin had all the details, all he had to do was ask her. I didn't have any of his details, so I couldn't contact him. He asked why he should pay. I responded that we'd had a deal, which was agreed to by all parties. He then went quiet, and stopped responding to me altogether (although I could see he had read everything I'd sent) . After 3 days I started sending Effin'Birds memes there, that were abusive at him, just for funsies. Within minutes of sending the memes, surprise surprise, I get a message from my friend, telling me her cousin is furious at what I sent him. I said I don't care. He's screwed me out of money, and I hate that it was a insufficiently_thoughtful_person who screwed me, and not at least someone with a brain. She then started on me, how wrong the memes were, she's disappointed in me, etc. I told her I'll put the disappointment in my wallet. She then freaked out, because I was furious about it all, and agreed to cover the cost of them. However, instead of mailing them to her, she wants me to try and sell them on ebay to recoup cash if possible. Now no, I'm not doing that. I've already done enough work for this deal, a deal I get nothing out of, anyway. I'm not wasting more time on it by putting them on eBay. She still hasn't paid me, but I believe she will do that. She's just going to make me remind her, which I shouldn't have to do. I've been doing deals like this for almost 20 years, and this is the first that's gone wrong.
  9. I'm late on this, but bad news for the book: artist Jim Towe is leaving following issue 11. This is devastating, as his style was a huge part of the book's charm. Let's hope we get an actual replacement that's not Rob himself, and hopefully someone with something unique to offer the book, so it continues to stand out.
  10. Atillan, which might not even be spelled correctly. I don't much care for the Inhumans. Anyway, I pronounced it A-TILL-an. Wasn't until the trailer for the show I learned it was actually supposed to be AT-ill-ann, oh, and that the show looked terrible. Learnt both at the same time.
  11. 'I'm sorry, pal, it's a reprint. Best I can do is 8 bucks.'
  12. He just seems perpetually unhappy. You got him a Coke? He wanted Diet. You bought him lunch? He doesn't like the painting on the wall at the cafe, so you have to change seats twice. Just one of THOSE people.
  13. Those Spoilers! Peter Dinklage as Moon Knight is certainly an inspired choice.
  14. Is it a new seller? Sometimes their payments will be held for a certain amount of time, but I thought it was usually pending successful delivery, which obviously was not the order of this transaction. An e-cheque still strikes me as the more likely answer, considering the timeframe. I just don't know how.
  15. I've got to wait till Monday to see this. The wait is killing me. I'm just not sure if I'm more excited for this, or Deadpool 2. It's a close call, but I think Infinity War gets the win.
  16. It's actually really different to the massive display we had here in Brisbane last year. Way more comic art, and a bigger focus on the comics than ours. We also didn't have the life-size Thing, but the life-size movie Hulkbuster IM made up for it.
  17. I like David, but will never believe he asked his fans to pay his taxes for him, because he'd chosen not to for some years. Disgusting.
  18. This film just looks better and better with each new scrap of footage we get. Can't wait!
  19. Still not feeling this one. I just don't care about any of this, Han's story is told perfectly through the OT. That's his origin story for me, all rolled up in the massive space saga. I don't know what more there is to tell, other than the fanwank of the Kessel Run and how he originally got the Falcon in the first place. That's what we're getting, but I don't think it needed to be told. It's got a talented cast, I'll give it that, but I just can't see myself caring about this film. Never thought I'd say that about ANY Star Wars film, but here we are.
  20. I've given up on Ready Player One, and started on 'Previously On X-Men'. This book tells the history of the 1992 X-Men Animated Series, all the behind-the-scenes stuff, and how the show came to be. It's a great read so far.
