  1. So if I get stoned, she gets prettier? Tell me more about your ways...
  2. 'My book was only a 5.5, but that large Meatlovers was definitely an 8!'
  3. I'd like it noted for the record that I got in the first joke about PGX and his Mum. Other thread's full of them.
  4. I don't see how it's any different to proving it in the US. It's not like these other countries (first world, at least) don't have their own systems that are sufficient for PayPal, etc. I also don't believe they've got any more scammed than the US. I've been scammed by more Americans than any other country, but I haven't blocked it off my list. I'm just cautious.
  5. They had employees?!? At best, I assumed he just had the power to fake fire his Mum. 'It's MY room, and what I do in there is my business! You don't OWN me!'
  6. I was all Marvel, thanks to the X-Men cartoon, and my local library for having Marvel Masterworks. I became a loyal Marvel reader, as DC heroes were lame, right? Then I discovered Kyle Rayner, Wally West, and Connor Hawke, and began to appreciate what DC had to offer over my beloved X-Men and Fantastic Four. Edit: When I was much younger than that I'd bought (or my accurately, my mother had) Transformers and GIJOE comics when I saw them over the years, but I don't really count that, as it never lead anywhere else.
  7. Nah, it was from Tarot. Not sure of the publisher, but it's Jim Balent's company. Broadsword Comics, maybe?
  8. Make sure you get a tracking number, for your sake, and theirs. But depending on the country, the tracking will only take you so far. For a statue, I usually try and double box it (or I guess triple box it, counting the original statue box), but that's a personal preference.
  9. Hope this one isn't too raunchy. How the hell does one escape from their own lady bits?
  10. Picked up a Kotobukiya Super Powers Hawkman statue, MIB for only $15. Don't know how I missed this guy when he was released, but I'm glad to add him to the collection.
  11. I'm happy because my copy of Battlestar Galactica Vs Battlestar Galactica #4 arrived today, and it's the Action Figure variant with both the 70's and modern version of Boomer. The nu-BSG Boomer is one of my favourite characters, so I was thrilled with that.
  12. I don't think I'd recommend Revoltech figs for little kids. There's lot of small, interchangeable parts, and those blades might well be sharp.
  13. 'It's worth about 7 Youngbloods.' But seriously, when I do get asked I try to explain the fallacy of comics value, especially when it's a 'childhood collection' from someone my age. They'll usually say 'but it's 30 years old, it's got to be worth something', and I'll reply 'and you're a bit older than that, and what could I get for you?' That usually gets the point across.
  14. There's a certain price point on digital that I find it impossible to overcome. I love getting omniboo and other Deluxe hardcovers, and I simply cannot justify their price in digital. I picked up a HEAP of books when they were 99cents, though. That was far below my threshold. The other problem is that I like to peruse my library, and pick out what I want. I simply don't have the digital storage for all my digital comics on any of my devices. We're talking hundreds of gigs, well over 500. I do have bookcases, albeit not enough, but enough to have my favourite few hundred hardcovers etc on display, and I can always find anything else immediately.
  15. Huh. Looks like there are different editions for America and Britain, and Australia gets the British edition. Park Lane is the most expensive dark blue property on our version. I'd always assumed they were the same property names worldwide, but nope, apparently not.
  16. Park Lane. It's all or nothing.
  17. Nah, secondary mutations was Morrison.
  18. Their picture of it... isn't. That's the Mk6, from Iron Man 2. Interestingly at the massive Marvel movie prop exhibition I went to, they had the complete Mk3, 4, and 6. The Mk3 was the battle-damaged version, while the others were pristine versions. I wonder if it was that suit? I know at least one was (partially?) destroyed for a trading card set back in the day. How many Mk3's did they have?
  19. No pics, but I picked up the main 4, plus Silver Surfer, from the 90's Fantastic Four cartoon line. Great to have these carded, and they're the first wave, so the painted Invisible Woman and the dodgier Human Torch (I can't remember it's history, repaint of Daredevil or something, or no I'm thinking of the first ML...). Very please with them.
  20. I believe Sherlock would refuse your case, and resent the mention of his name...
  21. Well, we know what kind of person he is. Or isn't.
  22. He killed me softly, with his song.
