  1. I've had orders sit there showing 'Grading/Quality Control' for three weeks until I called to inquire about it. Then suddenly, it switched and was being shipped a couple days later. Give customer service a call.
  2. If this has been brought up before then excuse me. I tried an experiment, none of these were fast-tracked. I sent in a set of 25 moderns pre-screens, to get graded (Oct 14). 10 days later, I sent in a set of 5 and a set of 10 to be graded (Oct 23 and 24 respectively), not pre-screened, but both modern sets. This past week, both of the smaller sets came back (Nov 20 and 19) and the big set is still sitting as 'Received'. So, it appears the smaller sets were selected and graded first. I know that pre-screen is supposed to take longer, which doesn't make sense. If it doesn't make a selected grade, then it should skip the encapsulating phase, making for a faster process, but pre-screening should add a small amount of time at best. The question is this, shouldn't the orders be started, based on when they arrived at CGC, not in order of size? I'm not saying the larger set would/should be completed before a smaller set, simply because of the size, but I would expect the larger set to be started before the smaller ones. Now I know the large set could have been started but maybe it hasn't been updated yet, but usually, CGC is good about that. Any thoughts about this? PS, of the 15 that have come back, 14 9.8s and one 9.6.
  3. I don't see them hurting the values. There is no effect to the issue itself. It's a bit of an add on sale item for CGC. It adds a nice pretty label. I've added them too a couple of items, simply because they are keys. For the extra $5, it seems to add an extra week to the process though.
  4. I think that was the best of the ones. I'm glad you took it, as you just saved me some money!!
  5. Both Batman #1s and the Harley Little Black Book. #3 Before Watchmen Dr Manhattan #8 and #9 Catwoman, please
  6. Rich, can I get a copy of this with Crain signing with his ‘Rainbow’ signature? I know it’s a little bit more though.
  7. Rich, may I please have a Mark Brooks Marvel #1000 and a Midtown Harley and Ivy #1.
  8. I like the UltraPro One Touch for my ungraded copies. They're like a poor mans CGC case
  9. One of these days, I will get a piece from you! Great stuff!
  10. The $30 is the grading for for CGC. This does not include any fees the artist may request for their signature. Many artists are now asking for $10-$20. Some even ask for $50 for each signed comic to be graded. Best bet is $45 an issue give/take their requested fees. Fees from this past Megacon: Artgerm $10 Kirkham $20 Tom King (and other DC artists under the ComicSketchArt umbrella) $15 Brian Azzarello, asking $50 for any of the Batman Damned covers Nakayama $20 Dawn McTeigue - FREE John Tyler Christopher - FREE Clayton Crain $20 ( I think, don't remember)
  11. I always thought practically any crease would hold it back from a 9.8. This is good to know. Congrats on the upgrade too!
  12. Thanks all! I will let my LCS know tomorrow. I don't know how they got it, but they had no idea or didn't remember who did it.
  13. Can anybody tell me whose signature this is? A local comic store has this and no idea who did it. Thank you in advance.
