I am pretty sure that you can pay that way if you choose, no problem. Although some sellers are professional dealers and cannot accept those payments. Thanks for the response. I had that issue also, where the seller refunded my payment and asked for the commerce version.

I know it isn't allowed to ask for pp f&f for payment, but is it a violation to pay that way voluntarily? If I buy from an established seller, and I choose to pay that was as a bonus (small that it may be), is that wrong here?

I continually see threads that are shut down by mods, only to have similar threads up and running in a short time. If there are rules violations, do the mods try a notification to the seller to fix the thread before they shut them down?

Says who? You are assuming the worst possible interpretation.

I guess it it all how you perceive the request. Sometimes tone is assumed by the reader of a message when it wasn't intended by the sender.

My issue with your issue is that you characterized the buyers request as "very demanding", when you quoted it as “please ship in a comic secure box not a flimsy envelope thanks“. I can't find a demanding tone in that. Also, considering the threads dedicated to describing and showing horrible shipping methods, it doesn't seem unreasonable. The buyers low feedback does not mean he is not aware of ebay shipping nightmares.
