  1. I've had occasion lately to notice 2 sets in 'copper'. Infinity Gauntlet seems to sell pretty well as a set 1-6, maybe better than breaking out individual copies. NM ish sets have been going around $70, which seems a bit better than individual issues. Don't know the time/$ re: moving individual issues. MSHSW 1-12 also sell pretty well as sets. Recent prices range about $60 - 110 (probably graded in the Fine range at the low price, and saw a 7.0 set sell around $70, and a few "NM" sets ranging from 70 to 110). Probably if the #8 is sold separately, the lot of 1-7, 9-12 would sell slower w/o the key, which might mean you need to sell a bit lower to move it. I've seen the bronze Marvel Presents 3-12 sets range from $30 to 60, depending somewhat on grades. I'd guess w/o the #3 it's a pretty lame set and would be slow mover, although maybe like the #8 in MSHSW, the key issue alone is worth half the set price.
  2. Nice comics and nice scans. Good luck. I like your dad's initials "AL" on backs, pretty cool. Adding grades might help your thread, even if not sure, a rough idea of the grade you used to price them.
  3. When I remember, I'll always gladly violate whatever TERMS of AGREEMENT I made with paypal and offer a 3% discount to buyers who pay with check/mo. I'll take the risk of both happening in sequence, that (1) I'm reported and (2) paypal then terminates me. But as to keeping the discount for myself, never; instead would just raise the price a bit to include fees.
  4. ASM 252 (and much more expensive 300) are extremely popular these days, and NM98 and 87 still seem pretty well represented on Lyria (what people are watching/bidding on).
  5. Already done. ; ) Often they walk the fine line, but just as often their practices are fraudulent, e.g. stating "slight color touch" to describe a whole spine touched up, which any reasonable collector would find a material misrepresentation. Sorry for the strong language.
  6. This seller is a sleazy piece of garbage. I just noticed his new "see full description" scam. Anyone see samco1's thread selling a reprint of ASM 1 but only using the letters GRR to conceal as sleazily as possible the fact it was a reprint? Got over 1500 for it, another jackoff on ebay scamming on folks with just avg intelligence or that don't read carefully or ask enough questions.
  7. He won a copy from me a month ago, and though I felt sure when I saw the name of buyer that he planned something unwholesome for the comic, I had no basis to refuse the sale. : ( https://www.ebay.com/itm/Amazing-Spider-man-50-low-VG-but-looks-great-/182766199031?hash=item2a8db6e0f7:g:nbAAAOSwe0NZu0fe Now I will go look and see what a lack of conscience on my part has wrought.
  8. Cool book, the horizontal variant. I only have the vertical one, raw, but 9.4 too.
  9. Cool Dave, here's mine, sorry about the stickers. Confusingly I also have 102-200, but not the TTA run. : (
  10. CLAIMED DONATION REQUIRED: $120.00 CGC four-pack, don’t know pressing status on any, all bought on boards last year when I still bought slabs here, includes ship to US, or at cost to Canadialand, be good to do some good on multiple levels. More pics on request, can take 2 pics per front cover and back if you like (top half and bottom half, can show books pretty well).
  11. The book's been on fire and though Spiderman's always been my favorite and I have 2-441 run I'll keep my hands well away from fire and directed the amount I would have spent on what I regard as a "sanely" priced copy into some other area - I happen to pick golden age stuff and never looked back. But good luck in your efforts, there are a couple listed on the board every week or two lately.
  12. Someone is bored again. Here's the one mediocre copy I have left, at this point in collecting I had just started college and stopped reading but still bought my titles and a few #1s like a dutiful marvel drone. The painted cover is cool, and apparently there's an error version with a couple of page printed in B&W. You could probably assemble a pack of 50 high grades for less than a couple of benjamins if you had lots of time and resources to back you up.
  13. I guess we're talking the top of the spine, and I don't have enough experience to know how much knocked off for it, wouldn't be upset if I bought as a 9.2 if he disclosed the ding.
  14. Keep it raw. But you can post good pics or scans in the PGM forum so you can feel comfortable that you have good idea of what grade or range it is.
  15. Geez, you're killing me. Ok, twist my arm, I'll take the Wonder 12. Thanks Rick.
