  1. Pretty sure I have 2 others I picked out too (plus the 2 you quoted), just fyi in case you missed them.
  2. I'll take this one too, please.
  3. Not getting caught up in practical details like Young Sheldon's age, how cool would the props have been if was set in the mid 60s?
  4. That's around when I stopped. A little past the 'prime.' Around 2008 I got the same basic advice as you got - up through the Days of Futures Past storyline.
  5. A site named "lyria" breaks out the top 100 "comics to watch" on ebay for Bronze, Silver, & Golden Age etc.; if you check those lists every week for a couple of years you should be pretty dialed in to what's going on in the market for higher demand books. https://www.lyriacomicexchange.com/index.php?age=12590&view=market&graded=0&variant=0&popular=1&lot=0
  6. Nice 4.0. A shot a 4.5, mainly that chip, front bottom rt, keeps it in VG territory.
  7. It's been discussed here from time, here's one from summer of '16.
  8. ^Retro, I have a CGC Hulk 181 w case signed by Trimpe, I got that from you, right? Thank you. : ) @Changer, you gotta check the dates, man. Hey, how do you like those Thors (if you had a chance to get through some of them)?
  9. I'll take this one too, please. Looking forward to a bit of early Frazetta.
  10. Oh, and the board automatically trimmed out paperheart's post so it looked like I was replying directly to you, my bad.
  11. I got the humorous part, sorry didn't acknowledge it. : D Not directed at paperheart in particular (who's obviously well regarded here), except that the iffyness/dice roll of listing here nudges some toward ebay as a starting point (with or w/o the 10% decrease or increase ) to simply do the work once. I'm not a big fan of 'feebay' but this thread has included commentary on the pros/cons of using it.
  12. Thanks for the great books and also for the extras! Very nice, happy buyer. Worth digging out your kudos thread.
  13. If you sell here and get crickets, you must go to ebay, which means doing it twice. But if you start at ebay you generally can finish most of it up at ebay too, which means doing it once. Once you've 'cracked' the board selling with a good rep, and quality stuff, at a good to decent price (i.e. a good bit below (-25%) to slightly above (say 10%) market, depending on the stuff), then you can sell on the boards with minimal duplication of effort Those who 'cracked' it are too many to mention, but I'm referring to sellers like October, Dale Roberts, etc.
  14. I can't speak to everyone unloading at once, but several months ago over the course of 1 or 2 days a boardie unloaded over a dozen copies in higher grades here and another 10 or so on ebay - and the market barely even blinked, as far as I could tell. Don't know if more than a few people even noticed.
  15. Just because something is scarce doesn't necessarily mean that a lot of people will want it. Take, say, an ordinary piece of paper with Lee and Ditko and even Kirby's signature on it - it has no value except to a signature collector. Perhaps if they all signed on a staff picture from Bullpen Bulletin that might mean something to more than a few people, but I'm not sure a Ditko letter signed by anyone other Steve Ditko himself would hold any value to very many people. [I understand that all you need is one other person who wants it, but even with the webz that person isn't always easy to find.] But I'm with you all the way on getting Lee to sign a personal item, for the value of the memory to you personally.
  16. Some art from Dr. Strange (ST 158 I think) was used on cover of Pink Floyd's second album Saucerful of Secrets.
  17. I don't think your pic skills need that much work at all. And I think that's a mighty nice copy you got there, that little spot on back can't keep it below 6.5 imo, probably a grade (maybe two?) higher even.
  18. Marvel 2 in 1 is pretty awesome too psst: a Defenders run (single books, mostly high grade copies) sold for comparatively big dollars the other night on ebay.- https://www.ebay.com/sch/Comics/63/m.html?_ssn=collectors_comics&hash=item58fe7ce7cb%3Ag%3A4GsAAOSwX7pZudzs&item=382226720715&LH_Complete=1&LH_Sold=1&_from=R40&_nkw=defenders
  19. Guess 2.0. Front cover looks nicer at strong 2.5/3.0.
  20. I think it 'jumped' over from sports memorabilia where it may be almost universally viewed as a plus (just guessing, don't know for sure). Combine that with people buying comic books who were never collectors/readers (or closest they got was color Sunday funny pages), and the general propensity for American non-commies to want to make a bit of profit (for investment or speculation or on a chance to make an extra buck), and then maybe pour a bit of cgc kerosene on the fire . . .
