  1. Because unlike now, any person or business on Jan1 that sells something a person over $600 in goods is required by law to report it to the IRS. Current reporting requirement is $20,000. 28% capital gains tax is no joke.
  2. I also think we're seeing a bit of a firesale here due to the new tax law coming next month. When people are risking paying 15-30% taxes on sales starting January 1, it's better to sell now than lose a ton to the government soon. (Yes, technically they should be paying it already, but doesn't mean most are.)
  3. I believe it's based on your received date, so they should.
  4. Got 25 of them back with the crack. Sent 14 back. About 10 came back reholdered with the same crack. I feel like it's a lost cause.
  5. My ME was received on the 12th and "shipped" the 24th. However, UPS didn't get it until the 29th. So I suspect a lot of CGC was gone for the week for Thanksgiving. Hopefully you don't have to wait long.
  6. Ask them to take a photo of the book with your name on it. It's a fair question for something of that value.
  7. All 25 I got back had large scuffs on the front and all had an internal crack in the case too. I figured it was going to be a few months so only submitted the worst 14. Wish I had done all 25. Oh well.
  8. Dunno if they ever announced it. It's not a store exclusive, but direct from the publisher. I do know they sold out pretty much day one though.
  9. Star Wars High Republic #1 Gabriele Dell'Otto Variant CGC 9.8. $150 Copy B
  10. Star Wars High Republic #1 Gabriele Dell'Otto Variant CGC 9.8. $150 Copy A
  11. Just to get this out of the way: -Paypal, Zelle, Venmo, Cashapp are all acceptable payment methods. -No returns -No HOS or Probies. -Posts takes precedence over PMs. -Will consider offers. -Shipping is $13 flat rate Now more details. These are Italian variants. This cover was exclusive to Panini Marvel and not produced in the US. These are freshly back from CGC, but thanks to their awesome QC, there's some minor cosmetic issues to the slabs. The sonic weld on the right side on all these caused a tiny internal crack on the inside of the slab. Also, there's a small scuff on the top right of each slab. Thankfully it's not where the book is. I tried to take photos of each. Neither affect the quality of the book and both aren't really that visible unless you're looking for them.
  12. Mechanical Error (14 slabs) Received 11/12 Shipped 11/24
  13. Took me almost five years to find one in the wild, so I guess it counts here. S.H.I.E.L.D. 1 Partial Sketch variant. Probably the rarest (though definitely not the most valuable) in the partial sketch series. I can only find perhaps 4 sales in the past 10 years graded or not.
  14. I'll be curious how they do zombies since they basically killed off every key character. Honestly I think the premise works well on paper, but I was a let down on the What If episode.
  15. I feel you. I submitted 25 books. 24 of the 25 had an internal crack in the slab in the same spot. The one that didn't was cracked on the other side. Additionally, about 23 of them had a very prominent scuff all around the same spot on the slab. They are currently back for a reholdering. I'm frankly terrified what may come back will be worse. Nothing is getting QA'd over there.
  16. As someone who has been a recipient of the warp speed grading, I was wondering if it depends on what you submit. I had 21 of the same comic. I wonder if multiples of the same issues may give you a bump in priority? Maybe because it's easier for to catalogue and easier for newer graders to grade?
  17. Nope. Ironically my last submission they pre-screened then charged me full slab price for the rejects.
  18. Please don't hate me. Modern Slow Track Prescreen. Delivered 10/19 Graded 10/25 Shipped 10/26 Returned to me 11/02. They did however, completely ignore the pre-screen. Two 9.4s made it in, but overall happy with the results and stunned at the speed. Edit: Upon closer inspection, at least 2/3 have a serious scuff mark in the upper right half. One case is cracked internally, and another came in the most beat up bag I've seen yet.
  19. Am I crazy or did Packages Received just jump a lot? They're opening the week of October 18th now.
  20. It may be a longshot, but I could potentially see this being picked up by another network. Not sure if I would gamble with buying a 9.8 #1 right now, but longterm still might be worth investing in during the incoming dump.
  21. I played it when it came out. I enjoyed it thoroughly.
